“Check over by the stables… everywhere!” Grant ordered, frantic.
I stood at the edge of the balcony, watching the chaos unfold. Grant was a mess, and I couldn’t blame him. His daughter was missing, disappeared just like Nina had once.
I searched his house, looking for a trail, a scent, anything that could lead me to where she might be, but there was nothing. Grant’s orders echoed through the air, mingling with the hurried footsteps of pack members. Nina was equally uneasy, darting around with no clear purpose.
I stepped away from the chaos, the tension in the air suffocating. Something gnawed at me… Brent might have been involved. He’d been too quiet lately, but I had no idea what use he’d have for Grant’s daughter. I was about to find out.
