Chapter Seven

LIAM'S POV I walked downstairs into the kitchen to see Madison drinking a cup of tea. I sat at the table and looked at her. "Pancakes," I said simply. "It's 11:22 and Kyle is in your office. You do the math." She replied. "You let him eat my pancakes?" "Don't blame me. I've made pancakes twice." She said, walking out of the kitchen. I walked down the hall to my office to see Kyle stuffing his face. "Seriously?" I said. He looked up at me. "You snooze you lose." He said, pancakes muffling his words. "What do you want?" I sighed, sitting down at my desk. "I didn't get a chance to see Maddy yesterday and remember the rouge activity I told you about?" "Yes." "We got one. Well, he came willingly, which was weird. Then, he said he'd only talk to Madison, which was weirder." "What the hell does a rogue want with my mate? How does he even know she's here?" "That's why it's so weird and the weirdest thing is that he knows everything about her. Even what she'd be wearing when I got here. Dude, it's freaky how detailed the guy could get. He even knows what she's wearing under-" "Did you detain him?" I growled. "Well duh. What type of Beta do you think I am?" I groaned and ran my fingers through my hair in frustration. "What am I gonna do?" I asked. "I say do it. I mean, if that's the only way he'll give us information." "There's no way in hell I'm letting my mate near a bunch of filthy rouges!" "Just keep her close. It's the only way." I growled at the thought but agreed to it. Hopefully, this information isn't just a lie. MADISON'S POV I fixed my hair and walked out the bathroom. I walked downstairs to see Liam pacing by the door. "Is everything alright?" I asked once I reached the bottom. He looked at me and nodded. "Yeah. I just have some business to take care of, and you have to come with me," he said. "Why? Is it bad?" "I'll let you know when we get there." He said, opening the door for me. I grabbed a jacket and walked out. We walked outside to the car. The air was cold and sharp. Despite the time being 1:25, the sky was dark gray. Liam opened the passenger door for me and I slipped into the slick black BMW. The inside was white leather. The seats were as soft as pillows. I loved it. He shut the door, walked to the diver's side, and got in. His face hardened as he started the car. He pulled out of the driveway and sped down the road. "Are you sure everything is okay?" I asked, looking at him. He inhaled deeply and exhaled slowly and nodded. I decided not to ask any other questions and just enjoy the ride. He drove deep into the woods, passing houses. He stopped at a gate and pressed a code into the keypad and the gate opened. He continued to drive inside. The car came to a halt and he got out. He walked over to my side and opened the door before helping me out. He wrapped his arm around my waist as we approached a metal building with guards all around it. "Alpha. Luna." The men guarding the door said, bowing their heads in respect. They opened the door and we went inside. "Don't make eye contact.." Liam whispered, pulling me closer to him. Kyle stood at a silver door and opened it. "Good luck," He said, looking at me. He guided us down the hall. "Are we in a prison?" I whispered, looking up at Liam. "Yes," He answered. Yelling roared in a distance as we walked down the hallway. Kyle opened another door where the yelling was louder. I couldn't make out what they were yelling. A growl came from Liam when some guy whistled at me. Some yelled about how they wanted to kill both Liam and Kyle while others yelled about the inappropriate things they'd do to me. We came to another door and Kyle opened it and we walked inside. "Shut those mutts up." Liam ordered Kyle, venom laced his words. He nodded and shut the door. "I believe I asked for the girl alone." A deep voice said. "Like I'm actually going to send her in here alone." Liam growled. I looked up from Liam's chest to see a man in his mid to late twenties with jet black hair and emerald green eyes. His eyes raked over me and Liam stood in front of me and growled once more. The man chuckled. "You have an extremely beautiful mate. It'll be a shame if word got out about her. Oh how the packs that you've pissed off would have some fun with her." He said. "You said you'd talk so talk! Or I'll rip out your throat right now." Liam threatened. "You thought I was joking when I said that? You have an alliance with the ancient pack. Foster. Not to mention that you were strong without them and now you're stronger. They call you the Blood Wolf for a reason. You've killed more wolves than you have in your pack; which is well over 60,000. You have enemies, a lot of them. If they find out about your mate, they won't hesitate to start a war. One by one, people will die just to get her. This is a warning about war. What I suggest is that you not mark her." "Who are you and how did you find out about her? She just got here last night." "Jonathan Blake and, believe it or not, I don't have a clever reason for being on your territory. Besides the fact that I was banished from my old pack for beating up the Alpha's son. I caught your mate's scent and followed it." He said. I peeked at the man and looked at me. "What's your name, love?" He asked. "Madison." I whispered hesitantly. He smiled. "Beautiful." He said and looked up at Liam. "I know this is a stretch, but I'd like to join your pack." Liam burst into laughter. "Oh god. You're hilarious! You're kidding, right?" He said as he quieted down. "I'm serious." Jonathan said with a straight face. "No. One, you flirted with my mate in front of me. Two, we don't accept rouge. You're lucky you aren't dead yet for trespassing." "Liam," I said, causing him to look down at me. "Can't he be an expectation? I mean, he's homeless." "Maddy, he's a rouge." "Not by choice. He was banished." "For all we know, he could be lying." "I wouldn't lie to you." Jonathan said. Liam glared at him and I took his hand. "Pleaseee." I said with a pout. He sighed. "Fine." He said, and I jumped up and down in excitement. "But," he looked at Johnathan who was smiling like an i***t. "you have to go through training and stay away her." He pointed at me. "Easy enough." Jonathan said. "We'll have the ceremony in a week." And with that, we left.
