10 Stifling his shivery anxiety, Ivan was looking around and listening, afraid that the Germans would let their dogs loose. However, time was going by, and everything around them remained quiet. Finally he concluded that the Austrian had not reported them after all, and the motorcyclists had probably not found their tracks and left the fugitives alone for a while. Besides, they had collected the dead body of the mad Häftling and would not return to the camp empty-handed.
