If this is your first foray into the world of the Vallen, I think you’re going to find it fun and exciting! Even though this is the fourth book in the series, I do my best to explain the world and give you enough information about what came before so that you can understand what is happening.

If you have read only the first book in the series, Storm on the Horizon (this is a free book – click the title to get your copy), then things are going to be a little confusing because a lot has happened between that book, where we first meet Tatiana, and this one.

In case you’re interested, these are the books in the series:

Storm on the Horizon in which we meet Tatiana (who becomes Lady Vallentyn), Christopher Vallentyn (aka Kit), and Tatiana’s sister Trina. This is the story of how Tatiana and Kit met and fell in love.

Bridging the Storm, the story of Kit’s niece, Kate Cherington, meeting and changing the life of the one thousand year-old knight, Sir Dagonet (whom we first met in the Children of Avalon series). Tatiana and her children play an important role in this story.

Magic in the Storm where we meet Tatiana’s youngest child, Morgan, and learn about his trials as he works to attain his destiny with the help of the artist Adriana Hayden.

Each book can be read on its own, or in order to build the story. Through the Storm picks up nine months after Magic in the Storm ended.
