Prologue

"Mama, hum a song for me."

"Okay, my little dear." Hinaplos ni mama ang aking buhok at unti-unti kong ipinikit ang aking mga mata habang yakap-yakap ang aking teddy bear.

Mama started humming a song for me. Hindi ako makatulog kapag walang musika akong marinig.

"Sleep now, my dear..."

I fall into a deep sleep.

"Mama, wait!" I shouted at my mother dahil dire-diretso lang ang lakad niya at hindi lumilingon.

"Mama!" Tumakbo ako para maabutan siya. Nadapa pa ako dahil sa sobrang pagmamadali.

"Mama, hintay po!"

Bakit hindi niya ako nililingon?

We are here in the midst of the forest at hindi ko alam kung saan kami papunta.

Isa. Dalawa. Tatlo. Apat. Apat, apat na putok ng baril ang aking narinig.

"Mama!" Sigaw ko sa kaniya.

My mother was kneeling on the ground and there are group of men on her front. One of them which I assume was their leader was pointing his g*n to my mom. He has a tattoo of burning dragon on his arms and smiling widly.

I run towards where my mother was. Hindi ko tinanggal ang paningin ko sa kaniya. I run faster and faster hanggang sa maiba ang paligid. I'm here standing in the midst of the rain. I was crying so loud together with the rain shouting for my father's name. Pero tumila lang ang ulan hindi na siya lumingon.

I can't breathe due to crying. My head hurts. My heart is bleeding. My breathe is starting to get weaker and weaker. Kailangan kong umalis dito. I c-cant breathe.

"That dream!" Hinabol ko ang aking hininga.

I dream of it again. Palagi nalang.

Nag-uunahang tumulo ang aking mga luha so I had to wipe them away.

I miss them, but they both left me.

I touched the necklace that my mother gave to me when I entered legality.

I swear I will avenge your death. I will find those men who killed you especially the one with the burning tattoo of dragon.
