"Can we talk things over, Ken?" I told Ken as he continued to pack his belongings. "Dara, can't you see me? We're not going to be able to work things out! We've tried so many times. Dara, this isn't working; I have to live my life and enjoy it without you. I don't need you; your life is a living hell. We've reached the end of our rope." I locked my gaze on him for a second, and tears welled up in my eyes. He meant the world to me, and I adored him. After all, who wouldn't? Who wouldn't fall for Ryken, Engineer f*****g Ryken Dela Cruz, for f**k's sake? "We're over Dara," he murmured as he walked out the door, kissing me goodbye. "I'm not happy with you, and I know I'm hurting you too, Good Bye Dara." Ken walked away, and I tried yelling his name, but he didn't even look at me. I slammed the door shut and began drinking.
When I awoke, my phone was ringing; I had passed out from drinking, as you can see. Simon's pleasant yet obnoxious voice rang in my ear as I answered the phone. “Dara Flint, where the heck have you gone? For the love of Pete, it's 10 a.m.!” “I overslept and passed out from drinking I'm very sorry I forgot about work,” I stood up astonished. “You what? Simon exclaimed. Have you been drinking and sleeping too much? What happened the night before? Is there anything going on between you and Ryken?” “Yea, I'll tell you later when I go to the office,” this moron keeps asking. I responded. “All right, Ms. Flint, I'll pick you up in 5 minutes.” He responded. I put the phone down and dashed to the bathroom. Simon has been one of my closest friends since college, we both attended the same university in college and work in the same office. He's the friend that has always had my back and has never abandoned me. He's a severe p*****t who's also a pain in the neck type of guy.
By 10:45 A.M., Simon had arrived at my condo, and we were on our way to the workplace. Simon was the CEO of a corporation that belonged to his family. I went to my office and began working, but Simon refused to look away. “I knew you had a thing for me,” I said, and he replied, “You owe me a narrative about what occurred last night Dara.” Oh, I gave him a sidelong glance and informed him what had happened.” He asked, "So that jackass left you huh?" “Hell yeah, he did after 4 years of f*****g,”. Simon made a step forward on my desk and hugged me, clenching his fist and handing me a tissue when my tears appeared out of nowhere.
