Chapter 13.
A FEW OF THE BETAS on patrol had seen a large pack of wolves coming through the woods. They’d come back quickly and alerted everyone. Aaron had locked all the doors and there was utter chaos ensuing.
Stephen yelled out to some of the women. “Quick! In here. Lock the door and don’t come out unless I specifically tell you to.”
The women in the pack were unable to fight. They couldn’t shift and their fear paralysed most of the men.
The women scrambled into the room, pushing at each other to get into the bedroom. Some carrying children, screaming and worried.
There were so many helpless people, and anger boiled inside of his belly that some wolves that used to be part of their own pack could do this to them.
