THE NIGHT WAS LONG and hard, but the sun finally rose over the mountains, bringing with it a new day.
Stephen had gone inside as soon as he was sure it was safe, and opened the doors, bringing out the Omegas to help.
Husbands and sons were gone.
They lost almost twenty of their own.
But they had won the war. At a massive cost.
Grayson contacted the Alphas to let them know that a strategy was not needed any longer. They had killed all the Rogue wolves.
Twenty-eight in total.
No one had known they’d grown to such a number.
The Alphas were due home in a few hours, and the funerals would begin tomorrow.
To say he was physically and emotionally exhausted would be an understatement, but at least everyone could go home and feel safe now.
“What’s the final count?” Brad asked
