There's a difference between responsibility and obligation. Responsibility is something you can be held accountable for. There's a sense of moral or ethical duty to something. An obligation is simply a mandate to do something that doesn't have any moral or ethical dimension. Now, the only problem was what category would I put Seres in. Was I obligated to save her? Or was it my responsibility?
I had her killed and now that she was resurrected, it was my job to take care of her. She didn't deserve to have the ending she did. This was her second life. I refuse to let her be at the mercy of Dominick.
