Mendo’s POV
While that bastard hauled Kori away, I glanced around to find Akira. She was sneaking a peak now and then, busy with her parents and ‘to-be-in-laws’. I stared at her, making her uncomfortable. She excused and pointed her chin at me.
Aunty waved at me before sending Akira. Akira rushed, giving a careful glance around and gave me an irritated huff.
“What?”
I was surprised from her tone.
“Woah! You literally gave up, didn’t you?” I couldn’t believe this.
My words hit her hard. She thinned her lips irritated before letting go her breath.
“Because it was you to give up on me first. I am just returning the favor. How does it feel?” She crossed her arms; restraining her anger.
