I done f****d up big time.
I was so stupid.
I literally threatened her brother.
I should be scared right now.
When she yelled at me it was a mixture of hurt, anger and frustration.
And then, when she told me all she went through, it made us so similar to each other.
Our mothers are dead.
Our fathers are assholes.
And the other women they were with were bitches.
Seriously, what we've been through, nobody should have to live that.
But the difference was, she had her brother. Me? I had no sibling.
Now she won't have a sibling.
I put my hands in my hair in frustration.
I needed to fix things and fast.

The next morning I woke up extra early. After getting dressed, I called Paul and told him to cancel all of my appointments. I then called Aaron and asked to meet him at the coffee shop with his wife.
I let Clarisse sleep. She deserved it, I ruined everything, so I ought to fix it.
Getting into the car, I gave the guard orders and then drove off.
I arrived at the cafe and asked the hostess if a couple got here.
"Sir, so many couples get here, so please be specific."
"African American."
She arched her brows. "Oh? Yeah, they're at a corner table."
I thanked her and went to sit with them.
I took in her brother's appearance. So this was Aaron. And the woman next to him had stunning wavy hair. She was dressed in a yellow sundress.
I extended my arm. "Good morning, I am Aiden Martin. You are Aaron, right?"
He scoffed. The woman put her hand on his shoulder.
"Be nice, Aaron." she shook my hand. "I am Melissa, Clara's sister-in-law and best friend. But you can call me Mel."
"Why did you call us here white boy?" he spat out.
"I guess I deserved that. Your sister gave me a lot of hell yesterday for answering her phone. She's not talking to me."
They shared a look. Mel smiled at Aaron, who rolled his eyes.
"Told you he'd get some kind of punishment." said Mel.
Huh?
"I'm still mad though."
"Aaron stop being mean."
I sighed. "Look man, I'm really sorry. I thought it was some boyfriend or something. I didn't know you were her bro. She was already very sad Wednesday about some argument the two of you had. She was crying and screaming."
I saw his features soften, like he was gonna cry. Mel held his hand.
"Now can you two stop fighting? I hate being at the recieving end of her anger." I said.
"Why did you even kidnap my sister for? Hell, she would've dated you. She got a thing for green eyes."
I tried hard to hide my smirk. Interesting...
