"Delilah, how dare you speak to me that way! You know very well that as the Omega's daughter, you're not allowed to be outside by yourself! Especially during this season!" Her father hollered, fury rising with every word. But, despite it all, she stood taller, not backing down. Then crossed her arms over her chest, as disappointment began to steadily rise. And a sense of hurt floated through her brain. How dare he say that to me, his own daughter! Doesn't he see how all this is hurting me? She pondered, a stray tear falling from her eyes. It was like everything she knew, and the way her father had to keep up that happy family picture, yet in reality it was a different story. Because she looked into his eyes, not ready to give up. "No, father! You know how I feel about you keeping me kept in here all day long! So, to hell with it, I decided to go for a walk in the snow!" Delilah growled angrily, sadness flashing through her eyes. However, David didn't stall, instead he raised his hand again. "Girl, if you don't get in here, you're going to be grounded!" He said through gritted teeth, ensuring nobody heard him. Then, he moved his hands from the top of her shoulder, to her hand, ready to do something. But, right when he did, something weird occurred- Zap An electric current appeared in front of them, causing the hair on their bodies to stand on end. And their eyes widened for a second, taking it all in. "What... What was that? It appeared out of nowhere!" Delilah stuttered as she removed her hand from her father's. "I don't know. Could it be some sort of black magic?" David responded, his voice just above a whisper as he scanned his surroundings. Then, he shook his head, ridding himself of any unwanted thoughts from flowing through his brain. When suddenly, the wind began to blow, and speckles of snowflakes started falling from the sky. "Quick, get inside. There's something I must tell you. But I'll say it once we get to my office." David stated as he pulled the door open wide enough for Delilah to step through it. Despite her father's offer, she looked at him skeptically as a horde of thoughts ran through her mind. I don't know about this. What if this is some type of ploy to get me to do what he wants? Or what if... Right before she could finish her train of thoughts, her wolf suddenly forced herself to the forefront of her mind. And with every push, anxiety rose in her body. But, her wolf didn't let that get in the way of what she needed to say. So, she inhaled, and then spoke to herself before turning to speak to her human. "Asha, you've got to do this. Don't worry about the consequences that may come." Delilah's wolf whispered, reassurance flashing through her voice. "Delilah, come on. Don't you want to know what he has to say? You know I do. What if it has to do with that weird thing that just occurred?" She questioned Delilah, urging her to rethink what she wanted to do. Upon hearing the seriousness in her wolf's voice, a sigh escaped Delilah's lips. And her mind began to race with many thoughts. I can't believe I'm going to say this, but she's right. I know deep down, I want to know everything he wants to tell me. Delilah pondered, inhaling then exhaling as she listened to her every word. Then her eyes widened just enough for an answer to appear in her mind. Something which she had never thought of before. And Delilah turned to Asha with elatedness as she searched her eyes. "That's it Asha! I know exactly what to say!" Delilah hollered at her wolf, excitement filling every word. "Are you sure that you truly know? What if it's a seed of doubt that crossed it?" She asked Delilah "He's going to see that I'm not someone to play with! Come hell over high water, my father will know it, one way or the other!" Delilah whispered to herself, ready to show him once and for all that she can be free to do what she wants. However, her father didn't share the same sentiment as he squinted his eyes with rising fury. I don't know why she's so quiet! It's getting on my damn nerves! Why can't she just speak up already? David wondered as he clenched and unclenched his fists. When suddenly, his eyes began flashing bright red for a second as something flitted across his mind. "Did you hear that? That has to be the Alpha's howl." David question his wolf, Sebastian with a curiosity filled mind. But before he could respond, David shook his head, ridding himself of the Alpha's call as he had something better to focus on; fully ridding the fear which gripped his heart. He was ready to regain his inner strength despite seeing the doubt which crossed Delilah's mind. So he crossed his arms over his chest, schooling his facial expression. Come on, she doesn't need to see your fear take over. I must let it go before Delilah sees. He thought to himself as he shut them real quickly, resisting the urge to do something else. Then David sighed, and a sense of accomplishment started to form in his mind, something which would change their fate as they knew it. This is it, the moment that she'll know what lays beyond my office door. I just hope she won't be mad at what I've planned for her. He thought, his eyes gravitating towards hers as David opened his mouth to speak. "My daughter, there's urgent news which I must tell you." He spoke softly, excitement filling every word which urged Delilah to lean forward, and her mind to race again. What does he want to tell me? Will whatever he wants to say change my future?
