Haa... Haa...
"Girl. Alright?"
Upon hearing the words of her companion, the girl slightly nods her head.
She and the brown rabbit accompanying her, barely escaped the horde of Night Wolves chasing them, as they escaped the Seira forest, a monster den, known by almost everyone living in Ashura, the creatures living there are no joke, as they can easily ripped an adult man to shred with just their claws.
Even the most harmless of them, the potus rabbit, can kill an adult human, if they're not careful.
"Think. Wolves. Gone" the rabbit spoke. The girl peeked her head, to the small hole created by the rabbit.
'They're gone' she thought, as she went back to her place.
They are currently underground, created by the rabbit, in order to escape the horde of monsters. She was once again amazed, by the ability of the two that saved her before.
The ingenious rabbit, that can do magic as if it's the most natural thing in the world, without even chanting, and think of plans for in times of danger. And the emotionless boy, who has a weird personality, that taught her the basics that made her stronger, the boy can also use chantless magic like it was nothing. The two combine together, along with their strong bond that she didn't understand how it came to be. Is a force to be reckoned with.
Even if she compares herself to the two, she would only look like a second-rate fighter even with her extreme stats. Yes, stats, she, just like John Kaiser (and the other summoned), her other companion, can see her status window, but the two currently know nothing of it.

Aside from the fact that her composure and intelligence are not that high compared to her other stats, the sheer quality of her passive skills made it up for her, although, there's a skill that she couldn't understand at all, she was still benefitting from it.
She, unlike John, can't confirm the matters about the skills, as she only knows how to make her status window to appear, and she also can't segregate skills points to her other stats unlike John who can freely move them. Looking over her status window, she once again, noticed how lacking she was compared to the two who can use magic, she only knows how to use the sword and that would not be able to take her to the place she wants to go.
Resolving herself, to ask the boy for some magic lessons, she lied herself on the rough blanket made from Night wolves’pelt.
-----
The next morning.
Waking up from the sounds of digging, Lara slowly opened her eyes. Seeing the rabbit digging to the other side of the hole from before, she tilted her head.
"Ready. Wolves. Here"
Hearing those cute, but serious voice of the rabbit, she immediately got up and unsheathed her sword.
As the hole was created the rabbit, poked its head to it, and looked around, seeing no signs of enemies, he quickly gestured for the girl to follow.
Moving out of the hole, rabbit, jump towards the girl’s shoulder, before pointing to their next destination.
The direction rabbit pointed out, is the place they were going, to the nearest village from where they were.
Rabbit remembered the direction before they hid themselves.
Lara moved quickly, and started sprinting towards the direction rabbit pointed at. But, before they could move a few more steps, they heard an ear-splitting roar.
"GROOOAARRR!!!"
Lara immediately stops to her feet. She knew where that horrifying roar came from, and what it means hearing it.
"John..."
The small rabbit muttered.
Lara, upon hearing those words, started running to where the roar was from, but rabbit stopped her.
"Girl! Don't!"
Using earth-based magic, rabbit quickly immobilized her.
"Dangerous! Can't!" Rabbit whispered to her.
But Lara wasn't listening any longer, she was struggling to get out of the chains made out of dirt. She didn't know either why she wanted to run towards there. All she knew was that she felt that she needed to go there no matter what.
'I need to go there!' She thought to herself.
Rabbit turned her head towards itself, and looked at her eyes.
"Don't".
"John. Said. Prioritize. Self. Over. Others." Rabbit muttered as he removed the bind on Lara's body.
Gazing at the crying yet serious eyes of the rabbit, Lara bit her lips. She understood that she wouldn't even be able to do anything if she went there, but she, just like the frustrated rabbit with her, wanted to go to where that roar came from, she wanted to know if her other companion is still there.
"Move. We. Must" Lara understanding that, just hang her head.
The two moved once again, hearing the roar of the manticore from before from time to time, they made it through another place where they could hide. There's just a few more distance before they could finally escape. But they can't just bring the monsters chasing them to a village, barely protected by low-ranking guards.
They have to lower their numbers. Rabbit, also knowing this fact, repeatedly created pitfall traps using earth magic as they moved.
-----
At the place where the roar of the manticore was heard.
"You bastard... *cough* you taught I'd die with just that?!"
A boy with black hair, and fierce onyx black eyes, stood in a mountain of blood and corpses of black.
"HAHaHAHHAHAHA! YOU WOULD NEED MORE OF THIS DOG BASTARDS TO KILL MEE!!"
Smoke rising from the corpses around him.
"I WON'T LET A SINGLE ONE OF YOU F*CKERS PASS!!"
His body, burnt and bloody.
"TIME FOR THE SECOND ROUND!"
Despite the number of wounds on his body, he stands his ground.
"COME!!!"
"GROOOAARRR!!!"
Glaring at the numerous enemies Infront of him. He challenged them.
John Kaiser, was still facing the manticore and the Night Wolves that was chasing Lara and Rabbit.
Without the girl and the rabbit knowing, the number of the wolves chasing them, was now decreasing to a great number.
-----
Another day passed as they hid themselves to another hole, created by rabbit. Lara woke up again from the sounds of dirt being dug up. But this time it's different.
"Wolves" Rabbit muttered, as he looked to the sealed hole.
Lara immediately readied herself, as rabbit created another way out.
But upon exiting the other way, wolves can be seen surrounding them. The sun has still yet to rise, as the place is covered in darkness. They couldn't count the number of their enemies, their enemies who can freely assimilate themselves to the darkness.
Lara used her left arm, to hold her scabbard, and the other to hold the short sword.
She was now using the scabbard as a type of secondary weapon, while the short sword as the main attack weapon. A form taught by the boy once accompanying her.
"This. Not. Good" Rabbit whispered from atop the girls' shoulder.
He already created dozens of earth needle and made it surround them, but earth element is a bad match up with the dark element. As the place is still dark, the dark element is enhanced, making his attack to be useless.
'If only I got affinity for flame magic...!'
Rabbit grumbled to himself as he points his front leg to the wolves Infront of him, following the command, the needles all steadied themselves, and the moment rabbit hacked down, all the needles burst, like a shotgun with multi-directional muzzle, it shot towards the wolves in all direction.
"Now!" Rabbit shouted. Lara quickly runs towards the front, where there were casualties and slashed her way.
But, as if they were leeches, the wolves stuck near them and s***h them with their claws and bit them with their fangs. Rabbit took most of the damage, as he shielded the girl, but she was not able to be free from all the damage, her back and thigh, bloody due to large scratches.
But she was still fine, compared to rabbit who's almost at death's door.
She couldn't do anything anymore, as she hugged rabbit, and started to run instead of fight back, wounds keep increasing from her body.
'Why do they keep chasing us?!' Lara thought to herself as she run forward. She didn't look back, no, she couldn't look back. Carrying the rabbit who's gasping for it breathe, she continues running, even if she tripped, she continued running without stop.
'Just a little more! Please let us make it!' Hoping from the bottom of her heart, she peeked from her shoulders. And as if the gods heard her, the number of wolves chasing her decreased to a great number, only 3 are now persistently chasing them.
She wanted to give out, but she couldn't she closed her eyes and used all her remaining strength to run faster than before. Added with the full number of her Agility stats, she was able to outrun the wolves who were moving in the darkness. And upon opening her eyes, she saw a wooden gate standing tall Infront of her, there were two people standing at the front of it.
"Help... Him..." She spoke as she fell down. Unconscious.
The two guard immediately rushed towards her lying body, the other one noticing the face of the person, froze, he looked towards where the girl came from, and towards the girl.
"I'll carry her to my house" The guard, that froze earlier spoke.
"You sure?" The other guard, spoke. and the other nodded.
As they tried to carry the girl, a ball of fur suddenly fell from the girl's embrace.
"John. Help. Him” A cute and small voice.
The two guards were bewildered before they look at the front leg of the ball of fur, it was pointing to where the girl came from.
"Help. Him. Please" The fur once again spoke.
The guard that froze earlier, look at his companion before nodding.
"Take them to my house, I'll look into what happened there"
"It's not safe there you know? West is where the Seira forest is" his companion spoke.
"I got the feeling... That I need to go there as fast as possible..."
"Feeling?"
"Just take them, and notify the adventurers guild too, send a few veterans, I'll be going!"
"Argh, Alright be careful, if you got hurt, I'd be killed by my sister!"
"Don't worry, I finally found her... I won't die!" With tears flowing out of his eyes, the guard that froze earlier, run towards the location rabbit pointed at.
The other guard that was left, looked at the girl with warm eyes, before carrying her in a princess carry, and putting the rabbit atop her.
"Welcome back... Lara..." The guard said, tears accumulating from his eyes.
