Day Thirty-Seven: -Fate-

1629 Words
A few minutes ago, after Count Rudolf Von Vinceral left Kaiser. Inside a white carriage, with an eagle symbol on top, its wings spread wide and a golden sword attached to its mouth.  "...Jacob, you've been silent for quite a while now. Is something bothering you?" a purple-haired man spoke. "...that young man" Jacob, the brown-haired old-man spoke. His gaze was sharp as if to pierced through the man infront of him "...Is different compared to your report, Rudolf". "Khmm. I was surprised as well" the purple-haired man, Rudolf said as he turned his gaze away from the old-man. "You said that he's like a wild animal. I can't seem to see that characteristic on him" Jacob said, as he look towards the window, his gaze looking far into the distance.  He remembered the short contact with the young man he had earlier.  "The way I saw it earlier... He's like a wolf hiding in a sheep's clothe" he said. "Are you saying that his someone who could bring danger to the Kingdom?" Rudolf said, his tone serious.  "I don't know, Rudolf, I don't know" Jacob said as he shake his head.  "This is the first time you've been quite uncertain of something, since that incident 10 years ago"  "...I just felt uncomfortable for some reason"  "...Well, he's just a kid. I know your intuition is to be trusted but, we should observed for now" "I think so too... that said. Is that young man's eyes always like that?" Jacob said as he turned back his gazed towards Rudolf.  "He was like that, the moment he woke up. To be honest, I don't really know where that fierce attitude I saw from the before" Rudolf said as he shrugged his shoulder.  *Knock*  *Knock*  As the two was talking, a knock came from outside the carriage, and someone spoke.  "We are here, at his Majesty, King Albert Van Lunard Memphis' palace"  Jacob, hearing the voice, peeked at the blinds that cover the window. A knight wearing red armor is standing by the carriage door.  "Let's go" He said.  Jacob went down the carriage, Rudolf following behind them.  They walked the already familiar road, and went inside the palace.  Without batting an eye for the amazing decorations that cover the hall, the two men walked towards the main hall, where the King resides.  The two stopped infront of a big door, infront of it stand two full-armored Knights, spear and sword in their hands.   "Prime Minister, Jacob Alustre Von Segal, I've come with the orders of His Majesty" Jacob said as he stands infront of the door.  "Commander of the 6th Legion, Knight of His Majesty, King Albert Van Lunard Memphis, Count Rudolf Von Vinceral, I've come with His Majesty's order"  The two full-armored knight looked at each other with a single glance. One of them, knocked on the door, and spoke of the two old-men that arrived, the knight then returned after confirming the order. "Let them in" a voice not so loud yet not so quiet reverberated inside the hall. The voice itself showed the regality of the person behind the door. "His Majesty is awaiting your arrival" the two knights spoke in unison. They then opened the door.  "I've been waiting, Jacob, Rudolf" the King said, as he stared down the two old-men infront of him. " "We've come your Majesty" " The two said in unison as they kneeled down in one leg.  ----- "I call it, The Magic Threads -Fate-!" the dwarf exclaimed. I once again looked at the gloves inside the box.   Compared to the name, it looks like a rugged item to be honest.  "Are you sure this is a weapon? Not a piece of armor?" I asked. What can I do? I doubt the credibility of its use.  "Why don't you use your skill on it?" the dwarf said, his broad smile unperturbed.  I did as the Ramul said, and use my 'Enhanced Discerning Eyes' on the pair of gloves. 'Brown colored gloves, a design in the shape of a web, thin threads attached to the end of each fingers, Fate.' ------------------------------- [Notification] -Fate- (Armor/Weapon) One of the greatest creation of the 'Great Smith' Ramul. The leather of the 'Tarachtula' was used as the gloves body. Thin threads made by the Higher Specie, Arachnid, are attached to the tip of the glove's finger.  Each threads can be manipulated as the users desire. In return mana is consumed in proportion to the length of the thread.  +25% Mana Regeneration every 10 seconds +50% Increased Damage to Insect type Monsters -1 Mana/sec (When used) ------------------------------ ...That's some good sh*t, right there. The 25% mana regen, is very welcome. I mean, I use mana like every time I fight. So this would help greatly. The 50% increased damage to insect types are good too. I don't know when I'll encounter them though. "-1 mana/sec... " I muttered.  If I compare it to my current mana... I could last for quite a while... about an hour?  That said, it would also required more mana if I lengthen the current threads. I don't know how much it would take though.   By the way, here's my current status, if you people are wondering. -------------------------------- [Status Window] Name: Unidentified Class: Unidentified Level: 36 Age: 18 Sex: Male Blessings: None Curses: Curse of the Bladeless (NEW) Titles: Apostle of a God, True Merchant Health: 3900/3900 Mana: 3300/3300 Strength: 231 Intelligence: 220  Agility: 311 Dexterity: 320 Stamina: 213 Persistence: 115 Composure: 190 Insight: 150 {Stat Points: 0} SKILLS -Production Skills- Blacksmith Lvl 1 Tailoring Lvl 1 Alchemy Lvl 1 Sculpting Lvl 2  Cooking Lvl 4 Butchering Lvl 5 Potion Making Lvl 1 Carpentry Lvl 1 Fishing Lvl 2 Masonry Lvl 1 Wood Cutting Lvl 2  -Passive Skills- Poker Face Lvl 6 Cold Eyes Lvl 6 Grim Demeanor Lvl 7 Marketing Lvl 1 Administering Lvl 1 Bargaining Lvl 1 Quick Calculation Lvl 5 Ashura's Life Lvl 1 Weapons Mastery Lvl 4 Magic Mastery Lvl 5 -Active Skills- Dimension Storage Magic Lvl MAX Plunder Lvl 1 Everyday Magic - Everyday Fire Magic Lvl 7 - Everyday Earth Magic Lvl 4 - Everyday Water Magic Lvl 4  - Everyday Wind Magic Lvl 3 Stealth-Shadow Assimilation Lvl 6 Assassinate Lvl 4 Fear Conversion Lvl 1 (NEW) Night Vision Lvl 1 (NEW) ------------------------------------- Yeah... Fear Conversion, as the you people might have guessed, it converts my fear into something, which I don't know what.  ------------------------ [Notification] -Fear Conversion- Converts the users fear.  ------------------------- Is all it say. Just for your people's information, I didn't used plunder on this one. It just appeared on my status, when I was having a party with the black dogs, and the accursed Manticore.  Wait, now that I think of it, that count didn't say anything about a Manticore when I was partying with the dogs. I'm sure that bastard was there... Hmmm, I'll ask him when I return. "Sir?" Ramul said. His broad smile now gone, as he looked at me.  Oh, I was silent for quite sometime? I feel bad. Well, not really.  "My apologies. I was caught up with my thoughts, that said, this threads how much mana do they consume when I lengthen them?" I asked.  I'm quite curious how much it would take to make it longer than a kilometer.  The dwarf turned silent at my question, he's hand stroking his long beard.  'Is he thinking?' I thought to myself. "Well... I don't have that much mana myself, Sir. So, I don't quite know how much they consume, I once tried it while looking at my 'Soul Stone' but due to my meager mana, all I could do was to lengthen them for a few millimeters" the dwarf answered. His face showed how troubled he was at answering my query. "If you wouldn't mind, may I ask how much mana do you have at that time? And how much you consumed?" I asked. I could do an estimation by knowing how much he consumed.  The dwarf once again turned silent as he stroke his beard. He then took out a round, brown, clear orb.  Is that what that damn Regarde mentioned? The soul stone, that the people of Ashura use to know their status window? I thought it would be bigger... to think it would only be the size of a ping-pong ball.  Could I use my skill on that? Welp, one way to find out. 'Round, brown, clear orb, Soul Stone' I thought, then with the now familiar sound of *pling!* a window pop-out infront of me. ------------------------- [Notice] -Death- ~ You are trying to discern a part of the divinity bestow in the Soul Stone.  -Danger comes to those who dare interfere with the Gods-  A suitable punishment will come your way.  Prepare, as the likes of mortal can't interfere with the 'Enjoyment' of the Gods. ------------------------- O-oi... what the f*ck is with this window? This is the first time I've received a 'Notice' and it's colored black to top it...   If my memory is right... the color goes like this: Green signifies, harmless. Yellow green is Attention Needed. Yellow is Caution Required. Orange, Danger is expected. Red, Retreat is recommended. Dark Red means Immediate retreat. And Black, equates to Death. This is the second time that that color showed up... first with that accursed Manticore, and now... due to Identifying something I would get punished?! Just as I was panicking at that time, another window pop-out on the corner of my vision, I didn't saw what it was at that time.  But the 'Notice' on the window clearly dictates how my fate will fare on this another world.
