While Kaiser was fighting the possessed Greg, the King's palace in Memphis's capital was in shambles.
"Search the entire capital! Send in all forces!"
"But, your Majesty, if we sent all of them, there would be no one to watch the palace!"
"I don't care! This is an order!" "Rudolf! Have the shadows not yet located her?"
"Calm down, Your Majesty-"
"My daughter has been abducted, Rudolf! I can't afford to be calm!"
"It's because she's missing right now that you need to calm down; we won't get anywhere if we just search arbitrarily, Your Majesty; let's wait for the shadow's words first."
"And how much longer do I have to wait? Every second that passes could cost her life!"
"Your Majesty...
The voice of King Albert Van Lunard Memphis could be heard reverberating throughout the big hall as he shouted instructions to the Generals of the military present. Some generals were attempting to persuade their King to reconsider his instructions, while Count Rudolf Vinceral was attempting to calm him down. The main hall was in disarray.
All of the Memphis Royalty are present, and they all have anxious expressions. They worried when they learned Eleonora had been stolen and saw Dawn's poor plight, and they rushed to the grand hall. They were afraid that Eleonora would be taken away from them, just as they had been previously.
The First Princess, Minerva Van Killon Memphis, the commanding general of the 1st Legion, and her brother, the First Prince, Luke Van Killon Memphis, her Vice-commander, had already left the castle. The Queen and the other 2nd Consort were concerned and looked at the King. Even if they were related, all they could do was wait, which was excruciating. Elenora's attitude toward them may have changed, but they still loved her as if she were their own child. .
Vanessa, the third princess, on the other hand, was inside the palace's medical room. They tended after Dawn, along with a handful of her maids and her personal knights. She was unconscious but still breathing, and she had no idea how long she would live.
'Dawn... Why did you keep such a serious sickness hidden...? ' Vanessa pondered to herself as she gazed at Dawn, who was laying on the bed. Although she was able to keep her for a little longer while she was treating her, the illness she saw inside Dawn made her wonder whether she would even make it through the day. It has already damaged about half of her internal organs.
Despite the fact that she is a Saint Candidate. No, because she was merely a candidate, she couldn't do anything to improve Dawn's case. All she could do was prolong her life by constantly employing healing magic, which was a form of torment for the barely alive Dawn.
"... Could you possibly wait on for a little... just till Big-Sister Eleonora returned?"
Vanessa's forehead was drenched in sweat, her arms were trembling, and her concentration was fading. It had already been an hour since she began mending Dawn, and she had done it without pausing for even a second.
"My lady, I believe you should take a break..."
A female knight approached her and said. She does not want anyone to die, but she was concerned that her princess might die before Dawn if she continued to utilize her mana and divine energy for an extended period of time.
"...No, I could carry on; if I rest now, I won't be able to face Big Sis Eleonora..."
"But if you keep doing this, your body will give in!"
"Don't worry... I'm a Saint Candidate, and something of this magnitude will not kill me."
"... My lady..."
"...Instead, assist in the search for my sister; I can still feel her mana inside the capital, but I'm not sure where... So save her for me."
"..."
"At Your Command!"
""Ha! ""
The female Knight that approached Vanessa was rendered speechless by her princess's devotion; hence, her comrade, the other female Knight beside her, responded, making her salute as well. They promptly departed, leaving only Vanessa, the comatose Dawn, and a few other maids inside the palace's medical chamber.
-
A woman with startling green hair was riding a white horse while dressed in Knight's armor.
"First and second platoons, go to the outside ring and look for Princess Eleonora! Fourth platoon, stay here in the castle and look after the King and Queens. Third platoon, come with me! We're looking for the center ring!"
""HA! ""
She yelled instructions to the Knights surrounding her, and they eagerly obeyed her. The woman, Minerva Van Killon Memphis, 1st Princess, was heading a small contingent of her Legion to look for her sister. Her fears were stacking up inside her, despite her calm demeanor.
'...Eleonora'
Minerva thought of her platinum-blue-haired sister, despite the fact that they are only half-sisters, and even though she appeared indifferent towards her, Minerva couldn't dislike her. Elenora is an irreplaceable member of her family for her, and the same is true for others.
'I'm going to rescue you no matter what.'
A knight approached her as she was riding her horse towards the middle ring.
"You're a member of Luke's force."
"Commander, we made contact with someone suspicious in the 'Nobel District,' and Vice-Commander Luke dispatched me to take orders."
"Suspicious?"
"Ha! He was stating that he knew where Princess Eleonora was, and that if we wanted to know, we should leave the 'Noble District.'"
"That is rather suspicious..."
"Do we apprehend him... or?"
"There's no need; we're going there ourselves; just follow me!"
""Ha!""
Minerva and the other knights rode their horses through the inner rings to the 'Noble District.' It didn't take them long because they were already close.
"Luke"
A lovely young man with slightly light green hair turned towards her; he was also wearing knight's armor and was by far the youngest looking of the individuals around them.
"Sis"
"Commander... in any case, where is he?"
"My apologies; he's standing there."
A man with black hair stood in the midst of a crossroads, wearing a black mask with two crimson horns as its design. It seemed as though his figure was hidden by the darkness of the night itself.
"...You didn't do anything rash right?"
"He's a force to be reckoned with, Commander; we'd be wiped out if we didn't."
"Good. I don't think even 'The Guardian' could stand up against him."
When Minerva saw the man, she immediately recognized the concealed power he carried. Despite the fact that he was only standing there, cold sweat was flowing out of Minerva's body, as if alerting her of impending peril.
'How should I proceed?' Should we flee? No, I don't think he intends to fight either...'
"Minerva Van Killon Memphis, 1st Princess"
When Minerva was thinking about what she needed to do, the man in the mask called her name.
Sssgn-
"I have no intention of fighting," he stated.
"??"
Hearing his remarks, Minerva was perplexed as to why he stated them. Then she heard a voice by her side.
"Commander, why did you unsheathe your blade?"
It was Luke, and he was looking at her in awe, his face slightly cramped from nervousness. Minerva recognized why after hearing his remarks. She gazed at her left hand, which was clutching the blade, and then alternately at the man and Luke. Without her knowledge, her body moved in response to the man's voice.
Sssk-
She resheathed the sword in its silver scabbard as swiftly as she could.
"Khm, please accept my apologies," she said.
"...I came with the purpose of assisting, but first I would like you to leave the 'Noble District' and its inhabitants."
"Why?"
"For your own protection"
"..."
"Commander..."
"...If you're going to destroy this place, I'll fight you to the death."
"..."
The man with the mask did not respond. Before speaking again, he merely stared at her.
"As I've already stated, I have no intention of fighting. The person you're seeking for is at this location, but-"
"WHERE IS SHE?!"
Minerva interrupted him and shouted.
"GIVE HER BACK IMMEDIATELY!"
"Commander..."
"...She's in wonderful hands right now, but I'm not involved with her; I simply happen to see her."
"TELL ME RIGHT NOW WHERE SHE IS!!"
"Calm down, Sis; I think he'll say it regardless."
"Your brother said is correct, but before I do, I need you all to leave this spot."
"Wait, you said she was here, right? Then why do we have to leave?"
"As I previously stated, for your own safety."
Minerva was enraged; her thoughts were jumbled when she learned that her beloved sister could be saved, but the gentleman who said he knew where she was urged them to go. If Minerva had been calm and collected, she might have been able to understand what the mask guy was saying, but she couldn't because of the conflicts in her thinking.
Thankfully, her pure brother, Luke Van Killon Memphis, remained calm and was able to decipher what the mask man was saying.
"...Are you suggesting you're going to save her?" he wondered.
"Oh, not exactly me, but a comrade of mine is, so rest assured, but I want you to go; a combat between monsters, after all, should take place in an unpopulated area."
After saying them, he turned towards a certain house, and then...
BOOM! BOOM!
CRASH!
Crumble-
"They're getting started, Kufufu."
He chuckled. Luke looked at him, then at the wrecked house. A woman stood on top of the damaged house, she wore a mask, and another person stood up, rubbles felt under his feet as he got up, and his golden eyes gleamed with a burning light.
