Chapter 10: Meeting the Moon Goddess PT 2

Sasha's POV:

“I give my children destined mates, and typically they are free to choose to reject or accept them as their mate. They generally choose to accept them because the mate bond is so strong. Wolves reject their mates for many reasons, but the most likely is they are morally not aligned, they treated their mate horribly before they realized they were mates, or they have found another they would prefer to be with.”

“I can usually figure out what choices my children will make and that allows me to assign second choice mates. These mates are their second mate in the event they or their first mate rejects them. Once a wolf decides to become a rogue, they have rejected me as their mother and have decided to do things on their own. Rogues don’t always make that decision and sometimes they are forced out of packs for breaking pack rules.”

“When I realized what was happening, your father had already died, and I was able to ease your mother’s passing. She asked me to look over you and to help you with finding the truth to your past and accepting your future. She loved you so much and I know she was trying to keep you safe because her mother had taught her, the same thing her mother before her had taught her. They were to ignore the Moon Goddess and to not entertain the idea of taking my place.”

“I never meant for this to happen; however, I have to save my children and I didn’t know how else to do it. I am going to tell you more and this next part is going to make you mad, but I need you to try to remain calm and listen to me.”

I nod at her to continue, knowing holding my anger in isn’t my strong suit. I’ll try my best.

“You don’t have a choice. Your destiny is set in stone, along with your mates. Yes, mates. You have two. The wolf that saved your life is one of them. His name is Maverick, or Mav for short, and his human name is Connor. He is deeply passionate and loves fully. His mate is Alexis, or Lexi for short, and her wolf is Alice. She is an extremely fervent wolf with a short fuse.”

“You thought yourself to be a lesbian, however, you are bisexual. The way you were treated in your homes you grew up in is the reason you pushed any advance away from boys. You have never been given the respect you deserve. You will have to warm up to both of them because this is a new experience for you, but it will make you happy.”

“You will allow Connor and Maverick to bite and transition you into a full werewolf by the end of the year. You are destined to change the fate of the next few years for my children. I am not going to give you every detail because I don’t want you to feel like I am taking everything away from you. I know this is a lot and I apologize for laying it all out on the line, but I cannot keep you here much longer.”

I stare at my hands as I fidget with my shoelaces. I am not sure what to think. This woman is telling me I have known choice in future and that it is decided for me. I don’t know how to handle this. I get up and run away from her. As I take off, I hear, “You can not run from this, Sasha. This is who you are born to be. You must face this. If you have questions, you need to ask them. I have to send you back soon.”

I stop and start to go back, but I walk a little slower than I normally would. I need to process this a little more. I am destined to be mated to two werewolves. Out of everything, the werewolf part isn’t even freaking me out. I love to read supernatural books, and this seems normal, since this is the world, I surround myself with constantly. I always thought guys were cute but was never attracted to them. She assures me, I am bisexual though. Maybe his personality will be what I find myself attracted to more.

I have stopped in front of the pond and the Moon Goddess is standing on the shore now. “I want you to have time to ask questions. I know this is a lot to take in and I know how much this is going to affect your life. Please voice your concerns out loud. I can hear them, but I want you to trust me and talk to me. After all, I’m like a Grandmother in a sense.”

“I just don’t understand why everyone chose to avoid their duties and not take over as the Moon Goddess. I don’t understand why we have two mates instead of one, like typical werewolves. I don’t understand why you can hear my thoughts and I can hear yours,” I quickly huff out slightly rushed.

“I did forget to explain mind linking. Wolves can speak to their human counterpart at any time in their mind. Their concentration is slightly skewed and can be taken advantage of during this time, however, they can help each other out during a fight. They can also communicate with other pack members at any time, with the exception of when they are in enormous amounts of pain, or unconscious. Large distances can be uncomfortable, and they can sense their mate’s emotions when they are in closer proximity.”

“I cannot answer why you have two mates just yet, nor can I tell you why my previous daughters have chosen to skirt their duties. I promise I will explain everything in time. You just have to trust in me and know I am doing what is best for our species.” She grabs my hand and I look up at her.

She is beautiful. She is taller than me, has white, silvery hair to her feet with a braid to the right side of her face. She has sapphire blue eyes and slightly smaller build than me. She looks sad though. I feel it has something to do with my destiny and what she isn’t telling me.

“I love you and you will save us all. You are destined to do amazing things.” With this she kisses my forehead. I feel a surge of power within me. She snaps her fingers and says Goodbye.

Fuck… I feel like I have been hit by a freight train. Why does my head and my leg hurt so bad. I grunt in pain and I hear someone say, “I think she is waking up. Link Teresa and let her know.” I don’t want to be thrown into this new destiny. I was happy living my insignificant life. I guess they know I am awake. I open my eyes and am greeted by an attractive man and a gorgeous woman. Both look like they haven’t slept in days. This must be Connor and Lexi.
