Two days day...

They both are covered in sweat and dirt. then randomly the both stop and look over in the direction of Abel laughing. I wake up to the shower turning off , and Dominic walking into the room. His scent wafting into the room heavily. He come back toward me. He feels my forehead seeing if I have a fever yet. I look into his eyes and admire his relaxed features.

“How are you feeling?” he questions still rubbing my head.

“I’m fine. Sorry you had to clean up after me.” as I admire him for being so sweet to me while I’m going through this.

"It's fine, Ava, you can't control it. If you have to do that all day i will be fine with it. I know it must be rough on you doing this alone." Dominic still holding my face looking into my eyes.

"Dominic, why are you so nice to me?" I asked quietly.

"At first when Abel told me that he saved you I was so upset. I took a few day before I realized me only wanted to be with you. He would come here and rush through his work and leave after the meeting were done. I asked him why did he care so much for you and he could only say you deserved to be happy. It was the first time in decades I've seen him care about someone." His voice soft.

"I think I was like a prize to him more than anything. He managed to get a young wolf to willingly please him. After we almost f****d he kept his distance. He would come home after midnight, eat, then fall asleep on the couch. He may care for my well being but he does not harbor true feelings for me." My voice soft and raspy.

"If he wasn't with you why was he always rushing at work? What could be more important?" Dominic puzzled as he watches me.

"I'm sure it has to do with the girl he was make-out with a while ago. He was flirting with a bunch of woman while a group of men were sparing. It doesn't bother me before you speak for him." I say beginning to sit up pulling my dress down to cover my thighs..

"I won't he needs to own up to that himself. I can say though you look beautiful today." Dominic says with a smile across his face.

"Your only saying that because you saw my vagina." I say sarcastically.

" I promise you I didn't look. I just moved you so I could clean the bed. I didn't want to cover you in case you went back into heat." His voice coming off nervous as he placed his hair behind his ear.

"f**k!" I yell.

"What?" his eyes look at mine pleading. I begin to hold my chest tears in my eyes. It's not my heat it's Black with a lover. It is getting less painful but still hurts like hell.

"Damn it's Alpha Black he's with his lover. The pain isn't as bad as what it used to be but damn does it hurt." I take a deep breath as Dominic rubs my back. I take long deep breaths trying to calm my nerves.

"Do you need me to do anything?" He reads my face.

"No, I'll get through it. Just hold me please." I plead with Dominic.

He sits on my side only in a towel. He gently picks me up and puts me on his lap letting me get comfortable. My head lays in the nap of his neck while my body lays across him with my legs sitting open on one of his legs. I just breath in his scent rubbing my nails across his neck and chest. He lets out a slight sigh as I readjust my head. My lips barely touch his neck as I turn my head placing my head onto his shoulder. My lips on the front of his shoulder and my chest laying on his chest as I prop my body up by sitting with my legs fully spread over his lap. "Ava, Can I move you a little. I don't want to make you uncomfortable." His voice husky and rough. I stare at him confused.

"Why would I make you uncomfortable? Did I do something wrong?" I asked worried.

"No, it's not that it's more that I worry that if you keep moving I will want you. I know I'm not the one you want." He says rubbing my hair and holding my lower back above my back.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I'll move so I don't bother you." I begin to pull my dress back down and slide off his lap and instead lay my head on his lap.

"Is this better?" I ask looking up at him.

I lay on his lap for a while as he just stroke my hair and rub his thumb across my upper thigh. I hear everyone outside still training and the girls gossiping. I can hear Abel barking orders at the men training or at the girls to try and train. That's when it happened. I felt a sharp pain ring through my chest like someone had stabbed me. Lyra howls and I begin to cry. Dominic pulls me closer to his lap and kissed my forehead as he played with my hair. He tries his best to comfort me but this isn't my heat. This is something else. I scream out in pain hearing a loud band outside, lightning. Dominic looks at me in shock, picking me up and rocking me against him body. A large cloud overcomes the coven house and as the pain shoots through me again causing another scream, it starts to rain.

"Ava, how are you doing that?" Dominic asks stunned.

"I don't know. All I know is my body hurts so bad. I think my mate bond broke." I say crying into his chest.

"Does that mean you will finally stop feeling him?" His voice shaking.

"Yeah..." I said awkwardly.

Just like that a new scent washed over me. Dominic looks down at me confused. It smelled rich and comforting. It smelled of rain and mint. It filled my head causing me to ogle Dominic. His eye completely black now. He smells it too. I watch him tucking myself deeper into him. As he pulls my neck towards his nose. Without warning I feel his fangs against my neck about to bite me. I pull back and hold his face as his vampire form takes control. His eyes blood shot with his iris being black. Veins formed around his eyes and neck and his teeth become extremely pointed. I touch his fangs and giving us a second to process what's happening.

"I have a mate!"
