I’M SORRY

1158 Words

Ayla’s POV I stood frozen for a moment, my feet feeling like they were glued to the ground. Part of me wanted to turn around and pretend I hadn't seen him, but that would be childish. Instead, I took a deep breath and started walking toward him. I could feel Sienna's eyes on my back, probably confused about where I was going. Arkon watched me approach, his hands shoved deep into his jacket pockets. He looked exhausted, dark circles shadowed his eyes, and his hair was messier than usual, like he had run his hands through it too many times. When I reached him, I stopped a few feet away and crossed my arms, I wasn't going to make this easy for him. He pulled out his phone and started typing. A second later, my phone buzzed. I pulled it out and read his message. "I came here to talk."
