Your whole life you grow up hearing people make jokes about how horrible marriage is. Even my own parents who have a seemingly healthy relationship would make snide comments about married life from time to time. As I got older and started to understand the idea of marriage I couldn’t figure out how a simple piece of paper could cause people to change so drastically.
