Chapter 58 - Ancient Barbarian Race

1612 Words
“Hey, does any of you two know anything about the ancient barbarian race?” William asked a little hesitantly because He wasn't sure that the two of them knew about it. But what William feared did not happen because of the answer given by Prince Alfred. “Many people say that the bodies of the ancient barbarian race are very strong, but they have absolutely no talent for controlling soul energy. It was because of this that the ancient barbarian race was almost completely wiped out and could only practice a few strokes and basic martial arts. Even if their opponent is a peak-stage tier 9 Spirit Warrior, perhaps they can kill their opponent quite easily just relying on their physical body.” Prince Alfred explained what he knew in the history books he had read at the time. “A very strong body? But have no talent in controlling soul energy?” William raised his eyebrows slightly in confusion, He felt there was something strange about the story. No matter how William thought about it, He felt that the shortcomings of the ancient barbarian race were like a curse. Even the smallest and weakest races could still control their soul energy with great ease. Not only that, even the demon race and dragon race which were said to have the strongest physique had a high innate talent for freely controlling soul energy. “Interesting, it seems that this world is really not as simple as I imagined,” William mumbled for a moment and didn't say anything else. He turned to look at the group of people who had come. At this moment, a voice full of ridicule immediately came out from behind the trees in William's sight. “Oh my gosh! I never thought a group as weak as you guys would still be able to survive in this testing area without getting hurt in the slightest! Have the three of you dug a hole in the ground to hide together?” That extremely disdainful voice belonged to a man who had the shortest physique than the other four, He had a 9-stage advanced Spirit Warrior cultivation base. It could be said that this short man was one of the three people with the strongest cultivation base besides Albert Rosch who had a peak 9-stage Spirit Warrior cultivation base. Not only that, even their leader, Albert Rosch, slightly narrowed his eyes as he looked at William and the other two with confused expressions. In his view, a group that could rob people earlier couldn't possibly have such a low cultivation base like this. And what surprised Albert Rosch the most was that the three of them looked at them without changing their expressions as if the three of them had guessed his arrival. Especially one of the young men whose pupils were red as rubies. Albert Rosch somehow felt that his body had been peeked at by those red eyes. But after looking closely at that person's cultivation base he could only snort coldly and didn't pay much attention to it. In his opinion, an advanced level 9 Spirit Warrior was not worthy of being a threat. “Looks like the goddess of fortune has smiled at the three of them! With the low cultivation base they have, it truly has been a miracle to last for more than 3 days in recruiting members of the Secret Service Organization!” One of the black-haired men who had an advanced level 9 Spirit Warrior cultivation base laughed heartily when he saw the three people in front of him pretending to be a mysterious group by covering their identities with black robes. This black-haired man had a dagger hanging from his waist. The strength gap of each Spirit Warrior is very different depending on the Battle Soul they have. If there were no special means such as having a special Battle Soul or soul artifact, it would basically be impossible to fight an enemy with a higher cultivation base. However, soul artifacts were quite expensive and slightly rarer than ordinary weapons. That's why they all underestimated William and the two figures behind him. "Do you want to rob us?" William asked in a relaxed tone as if he didn't care about the taunts they both made, He just glared at Albert Rosch. "Rob? What a stupid question! I just need to kill the three of you and all the Soul-Beast crystal cores you have will be mine! No matter what you do, the only fate that the three of you cannot change is a terrible death!” Albert Rosch glanced at William with disdain, as if killing William and the other two was as easy as stepping on a small insect. Even though William knew that people who came from powerful backgrounds like the three major families in the Feysac Kingdom were famous for their arrogance, but He had never thought of being this arrogant. Albert Rosch actually said it directly without the slightest bit of hypocrisy. Either it was really the enemy type who was very confident in his strength or the type of person who looked down on others who didn't come from a strong background. When William heard the words that came out of Albert Rosch's mouth, He subconsciously frowned, then looked back and said nonchalantly, "You two, shut up and don't interfere in my fight!" The moment Prince Alfreed and Chiaki heard the nonchalant words that came out of William's mouth, for some reason they both felt a drastic change in William's body. It was as if the true nature of William had come out because of Albert Rosch's words. Even the male slaves who came from the descendants of the ancient barbarian race had great changes in their expressions. His originally very relaxed and calm expression immediately turned gloomy and looked at William warily. “Young master, please be careful with that figure! My instincts tell me that that guy is very dangerous!” The male slave who was descended from the ancient barbarian race whispered softly into Albert Rosch's ear while pointing his finger at William. Bam! But unfortunately, it was not what the slave boy had hoped for, because what he received was not a sentence of approval from Albert Rosch but a hard kick that landed on his stomach. “Of course for you, that person is very dangerous! The gap in the cultivation base of an early stage 9 Spirit Warrior is quite large with an advanced level 9 Spirit Warrior!” “But young master….” BAM! The head of the male slave descended from the ancient barbarian race was ruthlessly stepped on and Albert Rosch stared coldly at him as if the male slave descended from the ancient barbarian race spoke again the next attack would be even more painful. When the male slave who was descended from the ancient barbarian race saw Albert Rosch's cold eyes, He subconsciously gritted his teeth and stared back with a murderous look. Cracks! Cracks! All the bones in the boy slave's burly body suddenly started ringing, as if He wanted to break the boundaries within him. When William saw it all, He subconsciously exclaimed in surprise, "He intends to break the slave seal that is inside him just relying on his physical body?!" According to what William knew, the slave seal was the most difficult thing for a tier 9 Spirit Warrior to break. Because breaking the slave seal required an abundance of soul energy and perfect control over the flow of soul energy. “It seems that the male slave who is descended from the ancient barbarian race is not a slave raised from childhood by the Rosch Family, but rather something happened in his past!” William could only mutter quietly as he stared intently at the short, black-haired, and yellow-skinned man standing beside Albert Rosch. William had no intention of attacking him directly because He needed information about the male slaves who came from the descendants of the ancient barbarian race. With the full power possessed by William, He can actually kill other people very easily. But unfortunately, the side jobs that William can require respect from the bottom of other people's hearts, which is why He only sees the conflict in front of him while gathering the information he needs. "Oh? Are you sure you still want to rebel against me?” Albert Rosch pulled the hair of the male slave who came from the ancient barbarian race's lineage tightly while looking at him with a sneer. When those words left Albert Rosch's mouth, the slave boy's body unknowingly trembled with fear. It was as if the slave boy had realized something was on his mind and the murderous gaze slowly disappeared. “This lowly slave begs the young master for forgiveness for his previous rudeness!” The male slave who came from the descendants of the ancient barbarian race lowered his head to the ground, Him ignoring all the shame that was in him to beg Albert Rosch for forgiveness. All of the previous resistance intent had disappeared in the blink of an eye because of those words. Having done that, Albert Rosch let go of the slave man's hair and stood up, turning his head towards William. “Why are you the only one coming forward? Don't tell me that you want to fight the five of us head-on without your friend's help?” The moment William heard those words, He raised his arms wide with a wide grin plastered on his face. "Just fighting five street clowns, why would I need someone else's help?"
