"Nick…." Jane looked at her friend in disbelief after he released his hand from her mouth.
Jane was grateful that Nick appeared on time to help her in the chaos of being chased by those barbaric people. Never did Jane expect that Scarlet would do that cruel thing to her , provoking them to attack her.
"I just want to save you from them." He looked worried; his eyes once in a while observed whether or not those people were still running after Jane..
"Thanks, Nick." She said while catching her breath. She finally could feel relieved for she hid behind Nick's back.
Nick then led her to leave that place, strolling through the dark road for they took the shortcut to hide from their chase. After a long walk, they arrived at the main road.
"How did you get around here at this hour?" Nick ask
