I was your ordinary teenage girl. Going to high school, hanging with my friends and going shopping at the mall. My name is Lily Reynolds and i am 16 years old. But I don't stay ordinary for long, you see, I am what you call a late bloomer, I haven't started my menstrual cycle yet and the day I got my period it all changed, I started to see ghosts, apparitions, whatever you like to call them and I would see them EVERYWHERE! Apparently it is a family curse starting from my very first bloodline ancestor who stole another woman's man and a gypsy cursed all descendent females on my father's side.
I have two best friends Sarina Ross and Mary Davies who i would never tell this curse to.
this is the story of seeing my first ever ghost and many more that come after.
DAY ONE:
"AHHHH" I wake up screaming feeling wet and in so much pain. My mother comes running to my room and swings open the door. "What's wrong hunny?" urgency in her voice mixed with concern written across her face. I pull back the sheets and there is blood, so much blood. "Mum, what is happening to me? Am I dying" (I know I know I am a bit dramatic but I am a teenager). "no hun, this is called being a girl, becoming a woman" Mum starts explaining all puberty things, you get the drift. Lucky she has menstrual products, demonstrates what to do and I look at the time and scream. "I am late for school!". I lightning speed have a shower, brush my hair, my teeth and run downstairs to grab something quick to eat and run out of the door. Lucky for me I live 5 minutes from school.
when I arrive at school I see my friends Sarina and Msry waiting for me engrossed in a deep serious conversation. They both start talking when I approach then. "What's up?" I asked them. They look at each other and back at me. "Lily, why are you always late to school? You just missed the morning gossip, apparently Joel Sanders broke up with Sandy!" Sarina says excitedly. Sarina has had a massive crush on Joel since first grade. Ahh young love!
"That's okay, I have you two to keep me up to speed with all the goss". They both roll their eyes and with our heavy backpacks on, we enter the school building to start another day of hell.
