The beep beep sound and the smell of antiseptics made it obvious that I am in the hospital but what I don't remember is what led to my being here. I opened my eyes slowly as if it will help filter the harsh light both from the sun and from the energy bulb in the room. I tried raising my hand to shield my eyes the more, but a slight pain from my arm had me wincing. That was when I even noticed the IV connected to my vein.
The front door opened and Lucas walked in, judging from his surprised expression, he wasn't expecting to see me awake. He smiled warmly at me as he approached me. Taking a seat close to my bed, he placed his hand on mine. "How are you feeling?"
