Monday rolled over too fast. Either way, I was really looking forward to Monday. I applied final touch to my makeup before picking up my bag. I walked downstairs to join my father, Lucas and Becky for breakfast.
The moment I got to the dining, I kissed my Dad good morning on the cheek, I also did the same for Lucas, offered Becky a smile before sitting down. Luisa presented a cup of coffee which I thanked her for.
Becky choked on her food, but I was the only one who offered her a cup of water. She thanked me as she accepted the cup of water but kept her head down. I turned to Lucas with a raised brow, silently asking him what's wrong with the both of them but he just ignored me.
"Miss Grey and Carter called off their engagement this morning. What's your next course of action?"
