Clair instantly backed herself against the wall, standing defensively like an animal ready to attack. Everyone froze, nobody dare move as we looked at Clair, she was in deep distress, and we all knew that she was having a crisis at the moment. Paulo looked on confused, of course he did not know Clair’s history or why she had reacted like this and the poor bloke looked horrified.
