Lorraine Lebedev
Just as I casually walk by a set of sliding doors, I see a group of men gathering around three parked SUVs. I knew something was up. Simeon was not home, he left five days ago due to an emergency.
Just as Raphaël promised, I was on the lookout for anyone who might be sent by Raphaël and I have spotted all five. They are either cleaners or gardeners who were replaced.
Josephine and I talked two days ago as she explained the plan for me. Raphaël managed to wreck one of Simeon's biggest shipments of the year from the Irish which cost Simeon over half a billion dollars of stock being stolen. Probably more weapons and illegal substances. That was phase one of the plan. A distraction. Phase two was to swap around the workers for the house so that they could work from the inside and plus with Simeon being distracted no one really pays attention to do background checks with swapped workers. Simeon will be back before midnight as I was informed by one of Raphaël's undercover workers Declan who worked in the garden. Apparently these past two days Declan and his team have been installing toxic gas around the house, especially the main room which was my Simeon's office. Of course there are cameras everywhere but Raphaël also managed to hack in our security with his tech team and mess around with the camera so when the guards checked they wouldn't suspect a thing. Phase four of the plan was originally to release the gas around the house while everyone is asleep and kill them but I added my own twist when father-Simeon returns he will finally meet his death.
I will admit Raphaël planned this through and through. It's a solid plan as long as no one suspects a thing there is a high chance I might pull this off and end it once and for all.
I watched as the men all entered the vehicles and drove away in a hurry. I tucked a few strands of my hair behind my ear as I tightly clutch onto the balcony railings.
The November cold winds brushed against my skin as goosebumps coats my flesh. I let out a puff of air and hugged myself before walking back into the study. I closed the sliding door and sank into the armchair my mother used to sit in where she would read me old classical Russian stories from the shelves.
I find it amusing how this very same house I used to call it my home and there was love and happiness in the atmosphere. Well that's what I saw from an outside point of view, little did I know my parents were just acting. It was all an illusion.
I start to remember the times where my mother would flinch whenever Simeon raised his voice at her, or whenever he would glare at her when she does not listen I just thought that my mother did not want to see the bad side of him but now I'm questioning if Simeon actually lifted his hand to my mother. I mean i never saw it with my own eyes but at this point this man is capable of anything. The way she would seem so quiet or flinch around him whenever they thought I wasn't watching got me questioning.
I pulled myself out of my trance of deep thought and rose from the chair as I walked over to the mini bar. I took the first bottle that was within my reach, pulled the cap off and gulped down the burning liquor letting out a small cough. I place the bottle back onto the table and smiled.
"Segodnya konets tvoyey ery, staryy ublyudok." I mumbled. {translation: Today is the end of your era, you old bastard.}

Fuck, f**k f**k f**k!
The involvement of an Irish complex multimillion-dollar scheme has defrauded investors in the stock of my company YBM Magnex International, swindling me out of $500 million. All the firearm offenses, narcotics trafficking, wire fraud, credit card fraud, identity theft, fraud on casino slot machines using electronic hacking devices; based in Atlantic City and Philadelphia, murder-for-hire conspiracy and cigarette trafficking.
All of it is f*****g gone even the FBI arrested and ambushed some of my warehouses. Underground gambling dens based in , have been demolished and over 10,000 pounds of cocaine was stolen from shipping containers.
Whoever is responsible for this better sleep with one eye because all hell will break loose when I catch the f*****g bastard. I will ruin him.
Anger flooded my veins when I got out of the car and slammed the door for the SUV as my guards followed me into the house. It was dark and empty and the hairs on my neck rose as I walked further into the house.
It's quiet.
Too f*****g quite. Where are all the guards for their nightshift?
"Chto-to ne tak." I mumbled to myself, pausing in my tracks. { translation: something is wrong.}
I pulled out my gun, c****d it ready to shoot anything that tries to f**k with me. I'm not even in the f*****g mood so if anyone tried to push my buttons I will snap their neck with my bare hands and burn them to ashes.
With each step I took the twisted feeling in my gut grew, goosebumps coating my skin. My guard searched each room in the house.
Once we gathered together on the 3rd floor one of my guards Pablo approached me with a worried look.
"Sir we cannot find Lorraine."
Anger and worriedness overcame me. "Double check every f*****g room and don't come back until you find her. The little brat is hiding somewhere." I announced and they all scattered away like rats.
I swear to God if that girl is starting with her silly little tantrums I will lose my f*****g mind. I made my way to my office and pushed my way in.
I need a f*****g drink.
I walked over to the mini bar and grabbed the closest bottle I could find, I sat on the couch and leaned my head back letting out a sigh. These past few days have been s**t.
Loosening the tie around my neck I closed my eyes and enjoyed the silence that hummed in the air.
My heart skips a beat when I feel the twisted feeling in my gut. I opened one eye and felt someone watching me from the shadows. Reaching in my coat for my gun I gasped when I felt a sharp object poking into my skin.
The bottle loosened from my grasp as it hit the floor and shattered into a million pieces. My eyelids become heavy as my breathing becomes slow. I tried to fight myself to stay awake but my body betrayed me as I drifted into darkness...

"Do you think it killed him?" Declan questions as he stood beside me.
I chuckled darkly, taking a sip of the whiskey I poured earlier.
"It's not that easy to get rid of him." I stated my eyes locked on his tied up unconscious body.
He's been knocked out for 2 hours.
While my Simeon was busy stressing about the downfall of his corrupt business I sent all the workers home, on Simeon's words. The perks of being the daughter of the most feared Russian man is that nobody dares to questions the word of the head of the Bratva.
I smile tugs my lips when I see his body twitching which means he will be awake soon.
After a moment of silence watching him carefully his eyes flutter open as he groans, his face twisted in confusion as he took in his surroundings before his gaze landed on me.
"Hello father." I simply say.
He tried to stand up but was pushed down by the chains that wrapped him against the chair. Fury spiked through him, his threading glare meeting my gaze.
"What the hell is this Lorriane?" he questioned, his voice low and horse. "Family reunion." I declared, picking up the framed picture of mother and showing it to him.
"Look at mother, all happy and unbothered by your sickening presence." I stated setting the picture back down. I push myself off the desk and pull out one of my knives from holster wrapped around my waist.
Simeon watched me carefully as I circled him.
"What the hell is going on Lorriane?" he queried. "For someone who surrounds themselves with this type of business I am surprised at how slow you are. I guess old age is finally messing up with your brain." I teased bitterly.
His anger flared as he tried to break free from the chains which did no justice. "Lorraine stop this silly game of yours and untie me." he snarled.
I laugh.
Actually I laughed but there was no humor to it.
"See, now this is not a game..." I trailed off as I traced the veins on his neck with the tip of the blade. "In fact all of this..." I gestured between him and I. "This f****d up father and daughter relationship you got going up in your head. That is a game of illusion."
"I swear Lorraine once I get out of here I will-"
"You will what father...hmmm tell me. Will you kill me. Torture me. Skin me alive. Take my eye. Suffocate me- tell me Simeon what will you f*****g do!?" I yelled. "Nothing , you want to know why because you f*****g need me. This empire you building will soon turn into nothing once I'm out of the picture." I hissed, leaning dangerously close to his face. "But guess what no matter how much you fight I will make sure you will live another day to see how much I destroyed what you have created for years." I let out.
Was I bluffing? Yes.
Does he know that? No.
He pulled his brows together in confusion. "Guess who was behind the scheme of your dirty business losing half a billion?" I queried the theoretical question. His eyes widen and I smirked when I realized that we were finally on the same page.
"You f*****g b***h! Do you know what you have done!?" He yelled , fury burning in icy cold blue eyes. I nod. "Yes, and it was worth every penny to see the look on your face father."
"You wanted me to be like this didn't you. Destroy everything I touch. You created this monster in me, with your words and actions, you fed it with your thoughts and ideas trying to mold it into this sickening perfection of yourself. Everything I've ever loved, cared for. You took it away for power and fear. You broke this family FOR YOUR OWN SELFISH DESIRES!"
"This family was already broken way before you were born." He spat.
Tears welled up in my eyes as I slapped him across the face, his head jerking to the side with his jaw clenched.
"I am ashamed to call you my father. I am ashamed to be blood with you. I am ashamed to be a Lebedeva!" I cried out. "You made me suffer. Trying to mold me into you. To carry your legacy..."
"But I realized that I will never be as perfect as you told me to be. I tried, but it failed, tried so hard to impress you but it made me bleed, tried so hard so hard and I almost died."
"You." I asserted, pressing the sharp ends of the knife deeper into his flesh. "You proved to the world that you are the devil. Simeon Lebedev inferred to be the most brutal, cold-blooded, abhorred, selfless man in the mafia world. Congratufuckinglations." I snarled "You've earned the tittle but at what cost. Nothing since you have no f*****g heart."
I step back and toss the knife across the room. Simeon's chest heaves up and down before he searched my eyes.
He laughs.
"Of course you won't kill me you f*****g coward."
I shake my head as I turned to Dante and took the hazard mask from his hands, turning back to Simeon I put on the mask and tilted my head as I watched him breath heavily. His skin color turning red, veins popping from each side of his head, his shallow breaths turned into aggressive coughs. "Why bother kill the man who is nothing but a pawn in my life. You don't deserve to die in hands."
The office door opened and Raphaël walked in with a mask attached to his face. Simeon eyes when wide as he saw Raphael stand besides me.
"You-" he coughs not managing to form proper sentences.
"His all yours." I told Raphaël before handing him the gun.
I stepped toward him, Raphaël raised his gun in warning but I waved him off. His blue eye narrowed as I stared pointedly into his eyes.
A smile slashed across my face. "I hope you rot in hell."
I stepped back and allowed Raphaël finally fulfill the task his been chasing for years.
"You piece of-" the shot rang out loud and clear over his threats. Simeon froze, his eyes wide and mouth hanged open in shock. Crimson stained bloomed across his chest.
A second shot rang out. His body jerked.
I felt no hint of remorse when Raphaël pulled the trigger. The man who raised me. He was a murder, manipulative, gaslighting hell of a father.
For my mother
For Katina
And for myself.
There bullet whole viable on his chest. He was long dead at this point , his body was riddled with holes.
I turned to Raphaël and he pulled me into a hug.
"I'm here red, your safe now." He whispered through the mask. I breath out a breath of relief. Finally my soul is at peace.

"Are you ready?" Raphaël questioned as he squeezed me hand. I sigh and nod my head staring up into those hazel eyes I've fallen in love with.
"Yes, I'm ready to let go."
I walked into the mansion that used to be my home as Raphaël followed behind me. I'd spent the better part of my life within these walls. It was home it never felt like home, not even when my family and I shared good memories.
I retrieved the lighter from Raphaël's hands and flicked it open. The smell of kerosene lingered in the air, but I didn't hesitate when I walked into the living room and tossed the flame at the furniture. The fire was spread fast across twenty-thousand square foot building, flames licked the walls and ceiling, destroying anything in its path.
Raphaël and I escaped through the front door, charred ashes filtering my nose. We both stood a safe distance, watching the flames spread out of control.
Raphaël held my hand into his, a promise to never left go.
Eventually we watched in silence as the flames incinerate the corpse of my father and my past until there was nothing left to remember.
