Minutes later, the conflict seemed to diminish, and Zorian made his way back to the temple, passing by scorched ground and bullet-riddled trees. There he found Alanic talking with a four-man group of guild battlemages and a small contingent of Eldemar soldiers. He was asked about his role in the battle, but the fact that Alanic vouched for him kept the mage leading the contingent from dragging him back to the guild station for further questioning. Apparently Alanic had quite a lot of pull with the mage guild.
