Chapter 7

"The stalker didn't do this...did he?" Sandra asked when she stopped by that morning with breakfast and Sirahi was still trying to wrap her mind about what happened earlier that morning. Sirahi was tempted to lie and say that it was but that might cause for her to get a police report and she didn't want that type of coverage at the moment. She was still trying to piece together what happened but staring at the dining table where Sandra was currently sitting at and the taped and bagged up glass door she once had, her mind went to her mate. She kicked him out and threatened him before he reluctantly left with a promise to be back as she cleaned up what was left of her pajamas. Her senses were on hyper alert and she never felt that before. Before her senses were fairly good compared to a normal human but now everything almost had her jumping at every sound. "I had a visitor" Sirahi said as she went for her second mug of coffee and Sandra paused from her food. "If it wasn't the stalker, your parents?" She asked looking around as if she was hiding them somewhere. "No. You would probably have heard them by now. Someone else." Sirahi said very vaguely and though she knew her friend wanted to pry, she tried to keep much of the Source side private for her own safety. "You're not in danger are you?" She asked and Sirahi shook her head but she knew emotionally she was. Her mate had found her and on top of that he was a mangy Wolf. The fates had f****d her over on that one and she needed to seek council with her parents. How was it possible that she was cross species mated to someone out of her circle. And why. Sandra was calling a glass company to come and repair the door as Sirahi went into her bedroom to give her parents a call. On the fourth ring, her mother answered and she was joyed to hear her mother's voice. "I think I'm in a tangle." She said and her mother's sweet voice replied with, "Do I need to call the Enforcers?" She laughed into the phone before saying, "No. Actually it's bigger than that. I met my mate." There was a screech that could have been a scream and Sirahi pushed the phone away. A Siren's voice could be deadly if used wrong and her mom's voice could have made her ears bleed if she wasn't immune to it. "That's great honey! About time, you know I met your father when we were both sixteen." She said and Sirahi nodded her head back and forth as she said, "Yeah, yeah and you started popping out babies by seventeen. Get it mom, but it's different times." "Well, you're not getting any younger sweetie. Your brothers and sisters are already mating and having babies. I need more babies." She said and Sirahi would've rolled her eyes if she hadn't heard that a million times. "That's not the issue I'm calling you about. He's not the same species as us." There was silence on the other end and she double checked to make sure her mom was still on the line. "What is he?" She said in a dead tone. "Wolf." Was all she answered with and met with more silence. Sirahi didn't know how to take it and though this was the worst timing she knew Wolves to be on Alpha male power trips with their mate. Possessive. And overbearingly dominant. Thinking back to a few hours before, he was definitely dominating and hell, he broke her glass door just to have s*x with her. "I have been told that they are very good lays." Her mother said and Sirahi shouldn't have been surprised. Their species were known to be sexually active and for lack of a better word, lusty. They were on par with the s*x demons but for her mother to say that, she was both disgusted and embarrassed. "Mom. That is totally not the point. Do you understand what I just said. I'm mated to a Wolf." "I hear you sweetheart. But like you said times are a changing. I heard that there was another couple. Some cat leopard-cheetah-Jaguar Shifter and a Witch. Actually they're having a baby so many people have betting pools about whether it'll be a hybrid or inherit one gene or another. Oh how exciting would that be to have a wolf siren. Imagine the cutie it'll turn out to be. Or do she wolves birth cubs...I mean oh those babies would be so adorable." Her mom went on and Sirahi wondered if it was a mistake contacting her mom. She didn't get the answer that she needed and she didn't want to meet her mate this early. If her mate was as cave man like as they said, she wouldn't be able to continue what she wanted to do most and that was be a singer. *** When Jamis left his mate's home early that morning he really didn't want to leave but he understood where she was coming from. They jumped each other's bones without getting a name but he quite frankly didn't care. She was his mate and they would have to talk about it eventually. But though he dragged his feet on leaving, he wasn't giving Up that soon. One of the reasons he actually left was because when he release himself deep inside her, something else was released. It was as if some barrier was broken and their souls had just become one. When he had left her home, he channeled everything he had into shifting and when the pain of tearing flesh ripped through his skin, before he knew it, he was doubled over on all four. Mentally it was like he was whole again and his wolf came to greet him before he shifted. He became hyper aware of his surroundings and he could smell well. He could see clearly in the dark as If it was day and he pounced around freely, letting the confines of his two legged body have authority no more. He was a wolf.
