When Sarahi had woken that morning, she felt odd. Her legs felt weird and she felt more tired than usual. It was possible that she was jet lagged from her flight but she also knew that she was getting her spiritual period. That was what she preferred to call it when she felt an influx of power but because it was not being tapped, it went back to hiding. She was basically having the same symptoms as if she was having her menstrual cycle.
Her emotions were a rollercoaster and the only benefit of her getting her spiritual period was when she wrote her best songs and had her great ideas. After showering and taking a sip of orange juice, from the carton, she started a cup of coffee then grabbed her acoustic guitar as she sat on her couch, turned her camera on and started plucking at the strings of her guitar.
She felt her chest almost hurt as if she couldn't breathe and a rush of electric ran through her body. She was on fire, almost literally and she felt like she was having a hot flash, her n*****s perking. A wave of desire ran through her body like a tidal wave and just as quickly it went away leaving her breathing heavily. Her senses were on alert as the light hairs on her arms rose.
Sirahi tried not to use her senses too often but she felt the nagging feeling of being watch. Of course she was recording but there was an eerie cloud hanging over her and she felt something. She tapped on her senses and could smell something, like her perfume that she applied had been sprayed recently and she knew she didn't apply that much for her to still smell the fragrance weeks later. And she just flew in yesterday after being gone for two weeks.
She got up from where she was playing and took a light step as she peered through her very see through curtains covering floor to ceiling windows. It was quiet and she could hear the birds singing.
She knew that if something was astray her security team would let her know so nothing could be out of the ordinary. Add on top of that she wasn't exactly human, she could take care of herself. That was when she caught it. There was a scent lingering and it smelled like generic shampoo and she sniffed again following the scent trail as it took her through her home. She didn't use the particular shampoo and when she went to her bedroom, she finally caught the underlying scent of perfume, shampoo, a hint of sweat, and...
Sirahi tried not to think about it but a bitterness hung in the air and she looked around her bedroom. Very very lightly, she caught the smell of the flower that when it bloomed smelled awful. The bitter smell permeated her senses now that she focused on it and wrinkled her nose. It was awful and as she tried to remember what flower it was she tried to figure out what the smell was.
It was probable she could be inhaling monoxide but her senses would have caught on to the danger. And the bitter smell was almost everywhere as if it was a dark cloud.
Sirahi looked around but didn't find anything amiss as she opened up her windows to let the warm early fall weather in. She needed to air the place out regardless and went from her bedroom to the other two rooms on her property that she used as guest rooms.
When she made it back to the living room the dark cloud was even darker. The scent of sweat and shampoo was stronger and she noticed the literal vapor trail led to the open glass door that she had shut. "What the..." she whispered as she went over to look and wondered if she possibly could have left it open but she wasn't stupid. Someone had been in her home and just took off. That much she knew.
She closed her eyes and breathed in and knew it was human. If it was her parents or Source members, they would not have been so careless and she would sense the magic behind it but it was definitely human.
Sirahi stood there trying to trying to figure out what she wanted to do. If the person was human, they could have been just a fan who in her books may have been harmless. If they wanted to do any lasting damage, they could have attacked her. If it was a source member or Enforcer, she would have been dead already.
She picked up her phone and dialed her manager who answered on the second ring. "I think someone has been inside my home. Actually I know they have." She said and Sandra answered with a curse. "Why don't you let me install more security. A guard walking the front of your home is not gonna do much." And Sirahi answered her as she said, "You know why."
"Right. You're special." She said and Sirahi shook her head. Her manager knew what she was and though she was human, quite frankly she didn't care. She had gotten so good at hiding anything that made her out of the ordinary that she could pass as human and they made a decent living that she could be a dancing one legged unicorn shitting rainbow marshmallows and as long as they became famous for it, Sandra was all on board.
That's what kept their relationship so personal and she was sworn to secrecy. If word got out that a human was aware of her relationship to the Source, they would disappear quickly.
"Let me see what I can do, then I will get back to you. In the meantime, give me more songs or I will take my ass to your place on this fine day." Sandra threatened and Sirahi laughed as she looked at her guitar. That had brought her attention to her camera tripod and the camera that should have been sitting on the pod. It was gone.
Whoever was in her home took her camera and quite frankly, that almost pissed her off. Though she tended to be fairly relaxed and didn't anger quickly, she felt annoyance and the rise of heat went from her stomach to her temple as she fanned herself. This was not happening to her and at this moment she wanted to just scream.
