Chapter 17

1925 Words
The rest of the afternoon was shot and they had taken a break for dinner before starting the shoot for the beach bonfire where her character was supposed to join up and meet her summer lover at the party. Jamis surprisingly had kept his distance and he was quiet when they were in the room together. Sirahi was a bit thrown off if not suspicious that he wasn't being his usual aggressive self with her and she wasn't sure if that was wholly the reason or if she was annoyed with him or herself. When the sun had set, and the crew were meeting up again on a part of the beach that was meant for the resort's patrons, she was surprised to already find a bonfire had been going. The crew had some lights for better lighting and the others were laughing and chatting away. The scenery was beautiful with the fire going and illuminating the dark waters of the ocean. There really was something serene and breathtaking and seeing waters at night as it had become like a mirror for the evening sky. She was drawn to it like a magnet and she wondered if it was her Siren blood. Though Sirens were known for their voices, she knew some that were, in lack of better words, like mermaids who lived in the sea. Just like the myths that the humans wrote of them, which were fairly true, they enchanted their victims into the sea and they could walk on land. She wondered if somewhere in her family line were there any Sirens who lived in the waters because she felt the draw to let its calming rush take her. "We're getting ready to start." Sandra said as she came up next to her breaking her thought of the water and she turned to look at her friend and manager before shaking all thoughts that she had away. She followed behind her and was surprised to find Jamis near as other females were talking to him. He seemed to be listening to what they were saying but Sirahi could tell that he didn't seem to be listening as she walked past by and their eyes met. He had a white t-shirt on and a different set of board shorts that were well fitted to him. His muscles almost protruded as if the shorts itself were too tight but whoever had chosen their wardrobe really knew what would work with him best. So good that all the females in the area definitely noticed. The scene was being shot and Jamis was standing at the edge of the water just as instructed and his head turned once she was supposed to enter. Though it may have not been too noticeable, his eyes were doing that glowing look again and she was drawn to him immediately. He had held his hand out and she grabbed for it as he pulled her to him and lifted her up towards him. Her legs instinctively wrapped around his waist and they looked into one another and right when she thought that they were about to kiss, the director shouted, "Cut!" With Sirahi motioning for him to let her down, she had to remember who she was, where she was, and why she couldn't go making out with a man that was supposed to be her bodyguard. She could imagine the s**t show and scandal that would follow and she didn't want that kind of attention. So when the director called for the scene again, she was more hesitant on her actions and she knew that Jamis had noticed. Yet that didn't stop him from trying to grope her somehow as his hand went under her buttocks and she felt the nice grope he had. She kept her expression under control as she moved towards his face for the fake kiss they we're going to do. To her surprise, there was no voice calling "cut," and Jamis met her the other half of the way and their lips touched. The electric spark that hit her had her pulling back in surprise as they kept rolling and she tried to hide her horror. When the scene was eventually good and to the director's liking, she tried to regain her thoughts as to what exactly happened. Jamis just kissed her in front of a whole crew of people and spectators and she just hoped there wasn't going to be a scandal from that. When she noticed he was walking in her direction, she had taken off quickly in the other direction that she could have left skid marks on the set. The rest of the shoot she had avoided him as much as she could without raising suspicion nor without bringing attention to the relationship between her and her fake bodyguard. It wasn't until the two weeks had passed and the last day she was requested to sing for the island at the resort that she knew once they got back to California, there would be a talking to about boundaries and what he could and could not do in public. Sirahi was getting ready and she look at the beach stage and the crowd that was gathering to get their places on the beach. She wore a summer dress with strappy heels and her hair was braided to the side, a flower over her ear and glitter on her subtle yet glowing cheeks. "We leave tomorrow at noon. Ready to go back to the real world?" Sandra asked as she looked her over with a Bluetooth headphone in her ear. She smiled and nodded, the nerves of being able to sing and have fun giving her the excitement. She hadn't seen Jamis all day and she wondered if he had gotten the cue that she didn't want to see him. But she knew he was close, she could almost feel him. Feel his presence. "We're ready in five!" A producer had announced and Sirahi swallowed her nerves before a show as she could hear the chatter on the beach and saw the number of beach goers. "I look okay?" She asked her manager as she breathed. Sandra gave her the okay with her fingers and a wink before she stepped back. The host who was also a local musician and would be opening the show for her announced and spoke to the crowd as there were cheers and screaming. The music was a mix of reggae, dancehall, and hip hop as he played his song. Halfway through she was getting the cue to join as she heard the telltale sign of her song coming on and Sirahi swallowed before plastering a smile on her face and walking from the back. She smiled at the huge crowd as she swung her hips to the music of her song and the local musician's. While he finished his verse, she hummed her song into the mic and some of the fans were screaming as she smiled and then started her verse. The mix of pop and reggae had a different vibe as the man was dancing along and so was she. Sirahi continued singing and dancing along as the night and moon shone above everyone and the low glow of tiki lights. She knew this was what she wanted and she loved seeing the excited and happy looks on the fans faces as she sang her heart out. She knew that no matter what Jamis had thought, this was a part of her world as well. *** Jamis was off to the side playing bodyguard as he heard firsthand what his mate had sound like live and he knew the sound of a Siren. Her voice was beautiful and haunting but yet so innocent and light. He wanted to do whatever it was that she had asked him and he was overcame with a feeling in his chest he couldn't understand. He felt power in the air and it hung there almost like a haze and it wasn't until moments later when he realized what it was. In some way, he knew this was the power of the Siren. Sirahi's voice and song was making him feel a certain way and it was almost maddening and obsessive. He wanted to take her away from the stage, take her to the back of the stage and rip off her too thin clothes and show her who was in charge. His chest was bursting with emotions and he didn't want to let it go. Let her go. He needed her. Wanted her. And quite frankly it felt as if he'd die without her. He felt his wolf come to the forefront and wanted to murder anyone and everyone who wanted his mate and he could almost feel his skin ripping apart. Jamis needed to get away, get out of there before he shifted in front of all the humans. He could see it in them, fans were making out and embracing one another but not in a s****l nature. It looked passionate and he wondered if that was the physical emotion he was feeling if it had played out. He couldn't explain what exactly was happening to him and luckily the humans didn't seem to be all too affected to the extent he had neither but he had to get a clear head. He left the show, quickly and methodically as he left for the hotel room. Once there, Jamis shed off his clothes and he didn't stop there. He grasped his hardened d**k as he made his way into the restroom of their shared suite, spitting into his own hand as he rubbed his too hard aching length. He fell to his knees at the tub as he growled, feverishly jerking himself yet he wasn't getting any relief. He was frustrated and with the way he was handling himself he was surprised he hadn't ripped his own d**k off. Sweat gathered over his body like he had a fever and Jamis growled as he held himself, needing release quickly before he lost his own mind and sent himself in a descent into madness. "f**k!" He growled at himself almost angrily and felt his hips jerk but nothing had came out. He was so confused at what was happening to him and he just needed the ache to go away. A fist had swung out and he hit wall and plaster as his fist went through the wall and he growled not feeling any pain, just the frustration of pleasure that still did not subside. He was losing it. He was breathing heavily as he stopped, trying to gain his thoughts and keep a clear head but his tip wanted to be enveloped and shaft had jerked, still hard and Jamis had sworn Sirahi had sung a spell over him and he wasn't sure how exactly she did it. It had to be her power, some sort of lust craze that came over him and he knew it was a dangerous weapon. He was so crazed over his own desire it seem that he himself couldn't bring himself to climax and he started the bath with ice cold water to somehow chill himself from the lust. But he knew it wasn't going to work. Jamis swore when he saw his mate again after her show, she was going to somehow stop the insane track of desire, lust, and ache in his chest and body. It didn't matter to him how, he just needed it to stop.
