Chapter 10Sam It’s hard to believe that in the same day I came in contact with two shifters and didn’t attack either of them. Well, almost not. For Nate, it doesn’t matter. He surprised me and I reacted unintentionally. I would have seen him coming, I would have never made him bleed. I went for a walk with him in the woods, we held hands, and he kissed me. Okay, it wasn’t a fiery kiss worthy of the great romantic movies I binge on all day long to pass the time, but still. He put his lips on mine with the softness and lightness of a feather, sending a cloud of butterflies into my belly. Then he ran off at full speed and I don’t know why. Perhaps he was afraid that I would punish him for this approach by physically hurting him? He didn’t seem to be afraid of my power during our walk. But
