No signs of Waking Up

" ...The princess was too beautiful but the prince was so arrogant that he ignored every effort the princess makes. One night, there was a strong wind and swept the princess out of the palace and brought her to a far away land.  She woke up to a place of pure happiness. She had forgotten about the place she came from and is living happily with the fairies..." Sheldon paused reading the book and looked at Anna on the bed. Anna just looks like she is sleeping but looks too small and  pale  on the bed. He sighed and held her hand. He does this multiple times a day. 

Weeks and months has passed and Anna has already been transferred to a private room. Sheldon brought in another bed for him to be able to attend to Anna's needs. Daniel firmly opposed him staying at the hospital but he has to go back and manage his company and they also found out that Rachel is five months pregnant with their first child so she cannot be stressed or tired. So he halfheartedly agreed for him to take care of Anna.

. He always talks to her and read her books at night. Rachel also comes everyday and Daniel has to fetch her every afternoon. Still she's not showing any signs of waking up. Her body might have endured so much that she's too scared to open her eyes. 

" Anna, we are all waiting for you to come home whenever you are ready. Take your time but please come back fast. Rachel and Daniel are already on their way to have your niece or nephew. You don't want to miss every step of her pregnancy right?" He gently talked to her but he didn't get any response. " You've been in bed for too long, you might have bed sores." He added.

Knock! knock! Anton peeped from the glass window of the door asking if he  could enter. Sheldon hesitantly walked to the door for Anton to enter. " Boss, here are the documents to be signed and I am here to get the ones I left yesterday. And oh, by the way some investors are requesting for your presence for the conference tomorrow."

" Anton"

" Oh and by the way, Madam is coming to the capital tomorrow-" 

" I will not attend the conference as for mom, ask someone to bring her here, It's time for her to meet my wife." 

"Yes boss."

Anton's POV

His boss left as soon as he heard his answer. He looks so haggard, too different from his arrogant looks four months ago. Anna's incident has impacted him so much. 

Madam Helena might be delighted to know that his son is married but I wonder how she would accept the news his son will tell her. I have been with my boss since time immemorial and it's my first time seeing him in this situation. His arrogance was gone for just one night. I wanted to blame him and tell him everything he had done to Little Anna but every time I look at him, I couldn't say a thing. He seem suffering himself and he is punishing himself everyday trying to atone for the things he had done. 

A few hours before the incident, I saw Little Anna's sad  but decisive eyes.I  just cant tell what made her look like that. I wish I knew. She has been like a sister to us in the house, she jokes and talks to us happily every time the boss is not with us. She's like a sun that shines wherever she goes but dims every time the boss is present. I wish I had the chance to know what she was thinking that night. If I talked to her, would things turn out differently?

I sighed and went back to the office. I had to run errands from the office to the hospital several times a day. The boss stayed there since the night of the accident and never left. He asked me to make sure and use all sorts of power for that scumbag Alex to rot in Jail. The house also has CCTV so he cannot escape from any punishments. 

When we watched the CCTV, we also saw how much Anna had suffered in Sheldon's house. She cried every time she is alone. She looked like a battered soul locked in a huge cage. That's when we found out the she wears a fake smile whenever she's with us. I want her to wake up and ask why she never told us a thing about her feelings. We should have given her pieces of advice. She said we are friends right? 

She's such a strong woman.I wish the boss will give me sometime to talk to her even if she cannot hear me.

Anna's POV

I love lavender smell so I always come to this place. It smells wonderful and I can stay here forever but every time I hear a voice, I always teleport to a place which is very cold and dark. There, I hear a man's voice. It is a very sad and broken voice that I hurt so much.I always run around to chase that voice but I always end up exhausting myself to sleep. I try to open my eyes but they seem too heavy to open. Then due to exhaustion I will drift away.

Today I heard him again. " ...The princess was too beautiful but the prince was so arrogant that he ignored every effort the princess makes. The I felt someone holding my hands. It's warm  and my heart doesn't hurt anymore.

" Anna, we are all waiting for you to come home whenever you are ready. Take your time but please come back fast. Rachel and Daniel are already on their way to have your niece or nephew. You don't want to miss every step of her pregnancy right? You've been in bed for too long, you might have bed sores."  Who is Anna? I really want to open my eyes to ask who Anna and Rachel are but I felt so exhausted doing it. And then again I am drifting away.
