CHAPTER FOUR

1203 Words
Things more terrible than death?” The lawyer said, his eyes focused on the knife held to his balls. “Oh yes, of course, Barrister… Take Becky for instance, she's somewhere in this house, wishing she'd just die,” Lydia said. “Why? Why are you doing this? This girl has done nothing wrong to you. Do you realize she once called you mother? Do you know the pain she’ll feel?” The lawyer said. “She lost her mother at birth, and now she has lost her father, and in the midst of that, the only mother figure she has left is doing this to her.” “Preach all you want, Lawyer… but my mind is made up,” Lydia said. “Speaking of a mother figure, I believe you have one of those. How would you feel if I made you slit her throat slowly, and painfully?” “You b***h, I'd never kill my mother,” the lawyer defended. “Not so fast, Barrister. I believe you have a wife and children. Would you rather I killed them more painfully? Oh, and made you watch as I killed them?” Lydia said. “What do you want?” The lawyer asked. “Simple, you keep your mouth shut about whatever you saw here, and also, I want to be the rightful owner of all these properties, so get it done,” Lydia ordered. “What? I can't do that. I'm just a lawyer, I can't alter the will, neither can I make any changes to the already signed documents.” The lawyer retorted. “Well… I guess your family would pay the price for your incompetence. If you can't do it, find someone who can, or pay the price.” Lydia said. “Pfft… And why should I trust you? You could still kill me and my family even after I help you,” the lawyer said. “I could also do that…. But what would I profit from doing that?” Lydia said. “Oh, and don't even think of double-crossing me because I've got tabs on you. One wrong move and..... Well, I believe you are a smart man, you wouldn't want your family to get hurt, would you?” “f*****g b***h!” The lawyer said angrily. “Please escort the barrister home. He has overstayed his welcome.” Lydia ordered. “Barrister…. You have three days.” Meanwhile, Becky was starving in her room, she had no strength to knock on the door or shout for help any further. Furthermore, she lay on the ground helpless, crying her eyes out. Suddenly, the door creaked and opened. “I see you've finally understood the situation of things. Well, that's too late because you've already lost your chance to redeem yourself.” Lydia said. “I spoke to the lawyer, and he's willing to give me all I need to fully attain the position as sole owner of all your father's properties.” “What? He'd never do that. He was my father's closest friend, and I know he'd never betray him like that.” Becky said. “Turns out, he preferred money to loyalty, and so did your father's workers, and that's why they are working for me.” Lydia mocked. “You b***h… What have you done?” Becky retorted. “Nothing much… Just following the plans… I know you understand what I'm saying,” Lydia said. Gasp! “So that was what Samantha meant at the cemetery. I should have known you both had malicious intent from the start.” Becky raged. “Oh please…. You were a baby at the start, and you were too busy getting along with Samantha, you didn't have an opportunity to suspect a thing,” Lydia said. “Why are you doing this? I called you mother… But you betrayed me,” Becky sobbed. “Gosh…. Is that what you should be concerned about now? I mean your life is at stake, and you are bothered with why I'm tormenting you?” Lydia said. “However, I'll answer your question. I'm doing this because I can.” “You are just pure evil…" “Ok, I've heard enough insults for the day.” Lydia interrupted. “First you ask why I'm doing this, next you say I'm evil, then you beg me to spare your life…. Gosh, pick a side.” “So, what do you intend on doing to me?” Becky asked. “Finally, a reasonable question. I'd, I've loved to kill you and end your misery, but I think that'll upset Samantha. Besides, I prefer you in misery than dead,” Lydia said. “So, I'll just subject you to s*****y, that's if it's fine by you… Hehehe.” “Please…. Just let me go, you can have it all, just let me go.” Becky sobbed. “Awwwn…. So sad. You are willing to give it all to me?” Lydia said, her voice laced with sarcasm. “Too bad it's already mine. I told you earlier, you lost your chance.” “Please Lydia…. If you truly were a mother to me, just let me go…. Please for old times’ sake,” tears rolled down Becky's cheek as she cried. “Old times’ sake? Those were just acting of foolishness. I hated you and your stupid father right from the start.” Lydia said. “So, did you do it? Did you kill him?” Becky asked. “Don't be ridiculous…. How could I have killed him when I was never even at the office?” Lydia said. “I'm sorry if I've ever hurt you, Lydia, just please let me go. I promise I won't tell, I won't tell a single soul,” Becky pleaded. “You won't be able to tell anyone because you won't be seeing anyone,” Lydia said. “Also, the only thing wrong you did was exist. If you died along with your stupid mother, my plan would have been a lot easier.” “Don't you dare call my mother stupid!” Becky yelled. “She was ten times more than the woman you ever will be, so just shut the f**k….” Bam! Becky vomited blood as Lydia's punch hit her right on her stomach. “I see she still has some energy left in her… I'll teach her to be respectful, and pain would be her teacher,” Lydia said, and signalled for her guards to beat her up. The door was shut, and Becky's screams could no longer be heard. “I know we were ordered to beat you up, but we've made a different call.” One of the guards said. “Really? You'll let me go?” Becky said weakly. “Pfft… Don't be stupid,” he said. “You're a pretty lady, don't you think?” “I… guess… but please, just let me go, I'll pay you double of what she's offering you.” Becky said. “That's enough talking,” another said. “What are we waiting for, I'm already having an erection, let's do this quick.” “What? Please no… No no, no no… Please… Nooooo"
