I got to the house and mum was super excited to see me, she wasn't expecting that I'd be home.

She cooked like it was a feast, we gisted and laughed over dinner. She won't stop bombarding me with questions about school and all that. I really missed being with mum.

After dinner was over, I was in my room doing what I enjoy doing best; reading novels. Mum placed a gentle knock on my door twice distracting me from the story.

"Princess, are you asleep yet?" Mum asked gently from the door.

"Come in mum, I'm not sleeping yet." I answered dropping my novel for a while to give mum my attention.

Mum came in with a tray of fruits as she said, "I brought you some fruits."

"Thanks mum." I stated happily collecting the tray from her and placed it on the stool near my bed. I picked some fruits and ate.

Mum sat gently on my bed and asked, "Princess, don't you have something to tell me?"

I looked at mum and I immediately understood what she was trying to say. It's the jacket. She knows vividly that the jacket doesn't belong to me.

"Mum, I forgot to tell you, I made a new friend. He's Jeremy and he seems nice." I said.

"Hmmm.... Jeremy. It's such a surprise though, it's the first time you made a male friend." She said looking at me.

"Ah... That jacket belongs to him as well. He only helped me with that because some kind of rude jerk splashed water on my dress at school." I explained further.

"Wow! How nice of your new friend." She said.

I looked at her and asked, "Mum, you know I don't hide things away from you right?"

She took my hands in hers rubbing them gently as she said, "Princess, I wished you'd always be that my little girl, but, we can't fight nature, you are now a young adult and it's about time you encounter and come across different things of life."

"You have to learn how to always think twice before you make your decision and strive to make the best decisions for yourself because mum can't live your life for you."

"I won't stop you from seeing anyone, as long as you are content with it, but, be very sure about him before you start it at all, I don't want my princess getting hurt you know."

"Meanwhile, if feel down or lost at any point in time, do not hesitate to ask for help. Sweetie, my arms are forever opened for you to run into them anytime."

I hugged her tightly and said, "Mum, I'm not seeing anyone yet, not even Jeremy. You'd be the first to know when that changes, trust me."

We disengaged the hug and mum stated while soothing my hair, "My little girl is all grown, when did you grow up so much?"

"All thanks to a superwoman like you who made me grow up so well. I love you mum." I stated and kissed her forehead.

She returned the kiss and said, "I love you more princess. Sleep tight."

She stood and walked out of my room.

Mum drove me back to school after the weekend was over, she gave me my pocket money and bought me some beverages and snacks.

"Don't forget to be a good girl okay?" Mum said as I unfastened my seat belt preparing to get off the car.

"Yes mum, it's a promise." I said giving her a quick kiss on the cheek and getting off the car. I waved her goodbye as she drove off.

I went straight to our dorm, my roommates were getting ready for class.

"Hey babes!" I greeted entering into the room.

"Oh! Momma's girl is here." Nicky teased.

Carly rushed up to me and gave me a hug, "I missed you Bella."

I hugged her back and replied, "I missed you too Carly."

Nicky laughed at us as she brushed her hair and said, "It's not even up to a week, see them acting like lovers."

Carly and I laughed and disengaged the hug.

I opened my bag and brought out two bars of chocolates, I gave them to Carly and Nicky and said, "Mum asked me to give you guys."

"Oh! It's my favorite chocolate! Thanks Bella." Carly stated happily and immediately opening the chocolates.

"Momma's girl, say me well to your mum." Nicky stated as well as grabbing her hand bag and sliding it on her shoulder.

"C'mon Bella, get your stuffs and let's go for lecture, you don't wanna be late right?" Carly said eating the chocolates.

"I don't need to change my clothes, I only need to grab my bag." I stated picking up an hand bag that contains my books and the three of us walked out of our room.

After we attend a general lecture that morning, Nicky left for her departmental lectures while Carly and I also attended all of our lectures.

Soon, our lectures was over and it was time to go back to the dorm, but unfortunately, Carly asked us to go without her, her boyfriend came to pick her up.

Carly and her boyfriend can't go a day without seeing each other, they keep making me jealous with their lovey-dovey relationship, I think Carly got lucky and I hope I'd get lucky when I finally find someone.

I placed a call to Nicky's line to ask after her so we could head to the dorm together like we always do but Nicky told me she had an impromptu test and she has to take the test.

None of my roommates is ready to go back to the dorm, will it be okay for me to go and leave Nicky behind? It has been our norms to wait up for each other and go back to the dorm together.

I think I shouldn't be the one to break that norm and so, I decided to wait up for Nicky. I sent Nicky a message that I'd be waiting for her at the garden, she should call up on me when she's done .
