It was around eight twenty in the evening when the trio entered 'toxic' and sat down at their favorite spot. Colin, Guillermo, and Amir had decided to meet after work at the club to talk more about Amir Project. It was agreed that Colin would get the exclusivity of all articles. After all, Sarah was his employee, it was normal that she'll continue to work for him under the diligent eye of Amir.

"How did you meet those ladies," asked Guillermo

Taking a swing out of his beer glass, Colin answered "Anna Vales is American but of Haitian descent. Both her parents immigrated to the US thirty years ago. She was fresh out of college when I recruited her. The best sportswriter this magazine has ever had, heck, she started the column herself. I needed a temporary writer to fill in the spot of Miranda, since her vehicle accident. During the recruitment, Anna presented herself, of course, been fresh out of college; I decided to give her a chance. She was a nervous wreck, but there was something about her, that I couldn't yet determine what it was. Two days after she was hired, she presented to me the sports column and now she is the chief editor of that section"

"How about the other one?" said Amir nonchalantly?

"Sarah Bayou was born and raised in Haiti. I met her online. I was surfing through the net, looking for ideas when I stumble into a political article about Haiti. There was unrest there. I remembered our last trip to that island and curiosity took over and decided to read the article. I was blown away, by how she described the situation down there, without truly given her opinion. When I saw her name at the bottom of the page with an email attached, I didn't hesitate to contact her. All I kept thinking was, this is what the company needed, her style of writing, you could feel the passion within her words. She didn't hesitate, she accepted and now here she is" As he describes his meeting with Sarah, Colin had this look of utmost admiration, which disturbed and annoyed Amir.

"When did you realize you were in love with her" ask Guillermo

Colin didn't hesitate to answer "two months after she started working for me. I know it's not fair of me to say I am in love with her, view my status. But I can't help feeling what I am feeling. This woman is special. Something about her resonated within my soul and all I want to do is keep her by my side. If she was not a woman of moral and I a man of principle, I would have forced her to be my mistress and later on the long run my wife"

Silence reign on the table after Colin's declaration. Amir couldn't understand his friend's amazement for this woman. He had to admit, that she affected him, but then again these effects would only last for a moment. They will be gone in no time; he may not even need to have his feel of her to get rid of it.

No woman would ever love him, he was too broken. Any woman after learning who he truly is would leave him at the first opportunity. He didn't need a woman in his life. He had a life project that was dear to him. That's all he needed. Yet as he remembered Sarah's poem, he wished it was about him. That maybe he had managed to attract her attention just for a short time. But then, who was he kidding, the poem was not about him, but someone else. View how they both have gotten off on the wrong foot, and her comments about him, he had no doubts she was repulsed by him.

"Are they married" Asked Guillermo

Guillermo questions pulled him out of his thoughts and he didn't know why, he awaited the response with eagerness, he had never experience.

"No, they are not"

"What," said he and Guillermo at the same time

"Yes, it is as you hear, both girls are single"

"I would have thought, view how beautiful and smart they are, a man would have already snatched them away," said Guillermo

"You are right, they are beautiful and intelligent, thus the reason why they have not been snatched"

"I don't understand," said Amir

"I have seen a load of men's get in line and trying to woo the two of them, and all of them were declines and that in the polite way. According to their words quote, "they need real men and has no interest in babysitting grown-ass men's and if they hadn't the ability to steal their breath and have their heart trump like a drum, they were not worthy of them"

"Wow" was all Guillermo said.

They are both singles and difficult women's thought Guillermo, just what he needed. He was always one for a challenge. He was pretty sure at that moment that he will be able to conquer her heart. He just needed to play his game right.

Amir, on the other hand, didn't want to get his hope up yet. The prospect of having Sarah all to himself was tempting. Maybe just maybe, he could let go. He just didn't want to get hurt. He had a fragile heart, even though he portrays himself as a ruthless man. He was also a man who had never experience love, he doubts he would recognize it even if it came knocking at this doorstep.

The ringing tone of Colin's phone interrupted Guillermo and Amir's train of thoughts. Colin answered on the third ring. "Hey Anna, how are you? She is still there? Ah yes, sure I could swing by there and pick her up. You're welcome."

"Is everything ok? Asked Amir

"Yeah, apparently Sarah is still at the office, finishing on some work. I am going over there and bring her home"

"Do you usually do that" ask Amir

"Almost, all the time, well guys, how about we meet tomorrow"

"We're going with you," said Amir

"We are," said Guillermo

Amir didn't answer as he got up from the table and started moving toward the door. His words were final and that was that. True be told, he wanted to see her again. Colin went to his vehicle, while Amir took the wheel of his loan Tucson 2014 vehicle with Guillermo on the passenger side. They drove in silence until they reached the Deluxe building. The moment he parked the car, Amir felt something was not right. The night had this certain chill into it. He could sense danger a mile away, without even seen it. He was not surprised when Guillermo reached behind his costume to pull out his magnum 45.

Parked a mile away from them, was a white van with no license plate. They didn't have to talk to each other to understand that something was going on. Like pros, they got out of the vehicle and hid in the shadow of the building. Moving ever so slowly, Amir noticed that Colin was already near the van with his silencer out. In one brisk movement, the trio was unto the van, Colin held his weapon on the forehead of the driver while mentioning for him to slowly open the door.

Guillermo and Amir were at the back, as they counted to three, they opened the back of the vehicle, surprising the two men's that were inside. One man quickly went for his weapon, but stop short when Amir sent a knife just inches from his hands. The two men raised their hands and slowly got out of the vehicle. The right side of the van was across and facing the entrance of the deluxe building. Placing the men against the left side of the van it was Amir that asked the question "State your business here"

None of the three men they apprehended spoke. Guillermo, putting his gun away, walked over to the bold men, took his hand and broke his left pinky finger "You scream, then you died" threatened Amir "I won't ask again, what do you want here" when the men's refuse to speak, Guillermo took his victim left hand and in one swift movement broke the arm.

"No please," said the one that was sitting on the driver seat "We here on a mission" by his accent Amir could tell they were Russian. What mission could the Russian be on, especially in front of Colin Company? In the underworld, it was a well-known fact that Colin was a dangerous shark, one to never take lightly.

"What business have the Russian here, who are you affiliated with?" said Colin

The one that was sitting on the driver seat continued to talk "Nothing to do with you Mr. Colin" They knew who Colin was, what was going on thought Guillermo

Amir was starting to lose his patience "then what the f**k are you here for"

The men tremble a bit before he answered "we're here to get a girl, by the name of Sarah Bayou, she works in this building"

The moment Sarah's name was mentioned, angered rose up in Amir, what the f**k did the Russian want from Sarah. The trio rose their gun toward the three men's "explain now" said a very angry Colin

"We were told to abduct her; our boss wishes to meet her"

"And who this boss of yours," asked Amir
