Chapter 11

When Sarah arrived home, she was greeted by a worried Anna "What got your shoes on fire" as soon as she said those words, Anna jump on her and almost knock her out "What the hell Anna" said she as she tries to regain her balance.

"I was so worried about you," said Anna

"Why were you so worried?"

"Who brought you home" ask Anna

"Oh, Andre did, Colin called me and ordered me to leave office"

Instead of answering, Anna stood near the kitchen entrance, where Sarah was getting a cup of water. The dream she had was so vivid, maybe it was just a nightmare but she was glad she asked Colin to bring her home. One thing she has come to understand ever since she came to live with Sarah is that every dream had meaning and could even predict the future. "I had a bad dream about you this afternoon"

That would explain the worried look and the greeting she received from Anna when she walked in. Turning around, she faced Anna, crossed her arms and waited for her to continue,

"In the dream, I saw you were being surrounded by a bunch of guys dressed in black, you were trying to escape but they wouldn't let you. You were screaming for help but no one could hear you. The guys were laughing, they just stood there. A white van showed up and one of the men took you on his shoulder, put you in the van and then you were gone. In the dream, I tried to scream, even to help you but it's like I was glued to the spot and watched in horror as they took you away. When I woke up, I went to your room and didn't see you, I panic and called Colin and asked him to pick you"

As Anna recounted the dream, Sarah's heart skips a beat as she remembered the white van that was parked outside of her work office. Coincidence, it could be or not. Not wanting to alert Anna, even more, she walked over and hugged her "Well I am here tonight, whatever that dream was, I thank GOD that it didn't come true"

"Yeah, sorry I am acting this way, it's just that it felt so real"

"Don't worry about it, Anna, I am here with you and that's what counts, how about I go undress and we can play a video game"

At the mention of a video game, Anna's eyes lit up and like a little girl pushed Sarah to the room and told her to hurry it up. To that Sarah couldn't help but laugh. However, once she enters her room, Sarah recounted the dream that Anna just told her. She remembers feeling as if she shouldn't step out of her office. Usually, she doesn't listen to her instinct, which would get her in trouble, but tonight she felt the need to just obey. So, she just sat there and did all she had to do. True be told, she had finished all her work and was just watching videos on YouTube.

There was no need to continue thinking about it. GOD protected her tonight and she will be forever grateful. She makes sure to pray tonight and thank HIM properly. She didn't want to think about a possibility that... Shaking her head, she decided to remove every thought about what if.... taking off her work clothes to wear something more comfortable, she went back to the living room and sat on the floor. Anna had already started the PS4 and had installed the Tekken game. Just as they took the controller, their doorbell rings.

Both girls look at each other, and then at the time, it was ten-thirty. Who could it possibly be? Neither moved to answer the door, but when it continues to ring. Sarah took a deep breath walked toward it with Anna right behind her. On the fifth ring "Who is it?" asked Sarah

"Sarah, it's me, Colin, can you open up?"

Without wasting time, Sarah opened the door, only to find that it was not only Colin but Amir and Guillermo. The three of them look like they had just come from a fierce battle, for the look on their face was one that would cause a rat to go hide in the deepest hole that exists. A little nervousness settles in the pit of her stomach and with a shaky voice she asked the most obvious question "Am I in trouble?"

Amir didn't know what he was doing when he asked Colin to bring them to Sarah's house. He simply wanted to see if she was safe as Colin man had said. Once the vehicle was parked, he didn't waste time to get out and rush up the stairs of her apartment and almost knocked down her entrance door, hadn't it been for Guillermo stopping him. When Colin started ringing the bell and no one answered, worries filled him and when he couldn't take it anymore, he heard her voice. It was like a bucket of water that instantly killed the fire that was raging inside of him.

When she opened the door, he could tell she was surprised for it was written all over her beautiful face, for a brief moment their eyes met yet he couldn't discern her emotion. But when she asked the question if she was trouble, Amir felt something happen to his heart. Something he never experiences and at that moment he was more scared of what she could do to him if he didn't cure whatever was happening to him.

"Can we come in" ask Colin

"Yeah, sure," Said Sarah as she opened the door wider to let the men enter. As the three of them stood in the middle of the living room, Sarah couldn't help but feel smaller than an ant. With so much testosterone in the room, she was bound to faint. 'Get a grip girl, now is not the time to drool' she was trying her very best not to look at Amir, but it proved futile. There was something about him that she just couldn't get her hand into.

It was Anna that broke the silence that had suddenly settle in "so what brings you guys here"

"We were in the neighborhood and decided to pay you girls a visit," said Guillermo

Sarah crossed her arms and looks at Guillermo and said "At this hour, hmm already missing us, I see"

Guillermo couldn't help but blush at Sarah's comments, other than the fact that they wanted to see if they were safe, he had also missed their presence. But he'll be damn to admit that it was the reason.

Both Sarah and Anna couldn't help the smile on their faces as they notice how the men had become uncomfortable with Sarah's comments. Deciding to break the ice "Well you are just on time, we were about to play a video game, would you guys mind joining us?

Amir couldn't remember the last time he played a video game, but with a nod, he agrees while Colin was already removing his suits and installing himself on their couch. He wonders how many times Colin had come in the girls' apartment, but decided to ask later. Sarah was wearing an oversize t-shirt with sports pants and her hair was in disarray. He had never seen a female looking so sexy. While Anna was wearing a kiss me pajama pants with a volleyball shirt and her natural hair in a messy ponytail. Both girls were beautiful and he could understand Dmitri's interest in Sarah, what would have happened if Anna hadn't called Colin, where would Sarah be right now...

He didn't want to think about it, but he was boiling inside "hey relax dude, otherwise, they'll think that something is going on" said Guillermo just as the girls came over with a bowl of popcorn and ice cream with juice to serve them. Anna was the first to take the controller and handed it over to Colin and said "ready to get your ass whooped boss"

"I would love to see you try," said Colin with a grin.

Thus, a game begins with each of them taking a turn, the girls proved to be more skilled than the guys thought and the guys were on a losing streak. Fifteen rounds later, Guillermo and Colin were ready to call a quit; they couldn't believe they were losing. But Amir was saving the best for last and waited for the last moment to seize the opportunity. It was his turn against Sarah "If I win this game, you'll have no choice but to leave with me this afternoon" of course it was already one am.

Sarah looked to Amir and thought over his proposition. She and Anna have been winning throughout the night, there was no reason she couldn't agree to Amir deal. But it was the look in his eyes that made her hesitated.

Sensing her hesitation "Don't tell me you scared, little lamb."

Sarah senses the challenge in his words "of course not, but if I win, you get to present an apology to me for been an ass yesterday"

Amir didn't expect the request but agreed nonetheless. It was the easiness to which Amir agreed that alerted both Colin and Guillermo. They knew that look of his anywhere and anytime and knew at that very moment that Sarah had fallen in the wolf den. Grinning to themselves, both men decided to relax on the couch and watched as the game unfold.

Fifteen minutes later, Amir with a big smile on his face, one that Colin and Guillermo hadn't seen in a very long time shouted as he gave Sarah character the final KO. It was the most suspenseful game in their lifetime. They had to give it to Sarah, she was a pro, but Amir, who had been analyzing Sarah moves throughout the games had known exactly when to strike the final kick, which gave him victory.

After his shouts, Amir turned to Sarah "You have to be ready by three; I'll pick you for our flight will be at five"

Sarah watched Amir, dumbfounded that she had lost to him, but what surprises her, was his relaxed attitude as they played the games. He may portray a dangerous character, but deep down he was just a normal human being.

"Sarah did you hear what I said" asked Amir as he stood in front of her and forgetting they were not alone"

Shaking herself out of her thought, Sarah answered "Yes I heard you, you'll be picking me at three and we're leaving at five. You should laugh more often" Sarah couldn't help but say

Amir looks at her, for a minute, it was as if it was just them in the room, as they stare into each other eyes. Their moment was broken by Colin as he put his hands-on Amir Shoulder "Well time for us to go. We'll see you, ladies, later and thanks for this beautiful moment. We should do that again"

As the three of them walked out of the apartment, they all held different emotions. Colin felt this searing jealousy toward Amir. Of all the women on this earth, he had to be interested in that one particular. But his anger was mostly directed at himself. Why did he strike that deal that traps him into a marriage for two years? Guillermo was a bit perplexed about what just happened in the apartment. It was clear that Amir was interested in Sarah. Somehow it fell this was different and at the same time feared the outcome of it, especially since he, himself couldn't quite place his feelings.

As for Amir, the mask was already on but he could still feel her touch on his shoulder where she had touched him during the game. A light touch that awakened feelings he thought where long buried. He didn't know if that was good or bad. He was already wondering if it was a good idea to bring her along. For he could already feel the danger of being close to her, yet at the same time would it be bad to wish for something he was taught to never feel.
