Chapter 44 Nicholas had turned his back from Sarah for just a millisecond to shoot down a gunman, by the time he turns back around; he realized that he has gone too far down. He saw her standing in the middle of the street as the wind blew out her hat. Just then he heard the whistle, he looks up to see the missile coming straight down at their position. He rushes toward her, and just as he reaches her, darkness engulfs them. Amir frantically searches the black dust that was covering them. It took a while for it to clear, and when it did; he saw a body lying on the floor. His heart was beating a mile per minute.
