The life of two days

EPISODE 4 : THE AGREEMENT

I was very gloomy that day and I lost my appetite too. I do not want to marry that guy who cares all about money and while I was lost in my thoughts, there was a knock at the door.

Mrs.Gray: "Oh! looks like my baby girl hasn't eaten yet. Look I brought some curry and rice for you, I know it's your favorite. Eat this up and don't skip your meals next time."

Veronica: "Oh mom please not now, I'm not in the mood. Why are you acting so calm and relaxed? You know that I'm not in the right state of mind. I don't know why these things happen to me, I hate this all. This all situation in which my opinion doesn't matter. This sucks. I hate my life."

Mrs.Gray: "Why my girl is being hopeless? Things will be alright, just have some faith. It's better that you accept this all, cause we both are gonna have a lot of difficulties while living all alone with no money. Just do it for our sake. Willson always wanted to see us happy and he cared for us a lot. If this is his last wish, please make this happen. I hope you understand my girl. You're my strong girl, right?"

Veronica: "Mom okay. Just for you and Mr.Gray. I love you."

Mrs.Gray: "Awwww that's like my girl. I love you more. Now finish your meal and come downstairs."

Veronica: "Yeah okay mom. I'll finish this. Thanks."

(Mrs. Gray leaves the room)

(After finishing the meal Veronica goes downstairs where Edward, Max, and Mr.Jack, Edward's lawyer, were sitting in the lounge waiting for her)

Max: "There she comes." (pointing at Veronica)

Edward: "Thank God you realized we don't have a whole year for this. Come fast.

Mr.Jack this is Veronica Jonhensan and I want to sign this contract with her. She is going to be my wife for this marriage."

Mr.Jack: "Oh right. Well, nice to meet you, miss. Shall we start this?"

Edward: "Yeah, sir."

Veronica: "Yes, sure mister."

Mr.Jack: "According to this agreement we'll need at least 3 witnesses and one is your younger brother Mr. Max Gray, your stepmother, Mrs.Gray and one is your faithful butler Mr. Robin. Mr. Edward has already read this but still, I'm gonna read it for you, Miss Veronica. The contract states that you both are married under this contract in the presence of your witnesses and this contract lasts for one year and 15 days. Once this time span completes you both can get divorced. Now Mr. Edward and Ms. Veronica sign here please."(Points at the vacant signature lines). 

(Edward signs the contract)

(Veronica signs the contract)

Edward: "Thank you, sir. Would you like to have some tea or coffee?"

Mr.Jack: "No thanks. I'll make copies of these and send you the original contract. So I should leave, Bye."

Max: "I'll drop you by the door."

Edward: "So when should we do the wedding event to make this all official that we're married?"

Max: "How about tomorrow?" *PFFFFTT*

Veronica: "What? Max don't joke around like that."

Edward: "Well, I guess the day after tomorrow is fine. What say?"

Max: "Hey! Man have some patience."

Veronica: "Okay Edward whatever you say. It's better it starts soon so that It can end soon."

Edward: "Yeah right."

Veronica: "Then I should call my friend to help me with shopping and all."

Edward: "Yes, sure. That's better if you make it look more realistic."

Max:  "DAAAMMMNNN YOU TWO."
