Elaris's POV The sound of my alarm pulled me from sleep. I lay still for a few seconds, staring at the ceiling while sunlight filtered softly through the curtains. The apartment was quiet, and for once, that silence didn't feel suffocating. Slowly, I rested a hand over my stomach. "Good morning." A small smile tugged at my lips. It had become a habit over the past few days. Talking to someone who couldn't hear me yet. Someone who didn't even know I existed. Yet somehow... It made me feel less alone. I climbed out of bed, showered, and changed into a comfortable floral dress with a light cardigan. The weather had become warmer, so I tied my hair into a loose ponytail before making breakfast. The doctor had been very clear. No skipping meals. No surviving on tea and biscuits.
