Everyone was drinking and eating and I went into the kitchen. I pulled out the cake from the fridge and put the candles in. I lit them and walked outside, everyone started singing and Rishi went bright red.
I set the cake down and stepped to one side, Rishi’s parents stood next to him and I was taking pictures. He cut the cake picking up the slice feeding his parents and they fed him. He walked over to my parents too and fed them. Then he fed me. I picked up the spoon putting it to his lips and he ate the bit of cake. We all took pictures, and I dished out the cake.
The rest of the day, passed by slowly. Drinking, eating, singing and dancing. It was around 8pm when everyone started to leave. We stood by the door, saying goodbye to the last of the guests. Rishi shut the door and I walked back outside into the garden. I sat on the steps with my glass of wine and watched the sun set. Rishi sat down next to me wrapping his arm around me. I put my head on his shoulder, and sighed.
“Today was perfect. Thank you” he kissed the top of my head. “Let’s dance” he walked over to the speaker and put on a slow song. He walked over to me and took my hand.
I put my head on his chest and we swayed slowly to the song this moment was perfect. Us together alone.
“Thank you for everything today, the food the cake was amazing. You truly are special. All my family were saying how perfect you are” he pressed his lips to mine and I ran my fingers through his hair.
“Let’s clean up and go to bed it’s getting a bit cold” I shivered as the wind blew. We took everything inside and I put all the food in the fridge.
“Let’s go upstairs” I grabbed my drink and the bottle of wine I was drinking and walked upstairs.
I set the bottle down on the desk taking a long sip from my glass.
“And what am I supposed to do about that. You lost the evidence you find it. You have till Monday if not you’re fired” Rishi’s voice boomed from downstairs, I heard his footsteps come up the stairs and into the room.
“What’s wrong?” I asked quietly
“Nothing” he snapped, I turned away from him “I’m sorry, just today was going so well and that’s the last thing I needed. Some i***t at the office lost some evidence I need for court next week” he walked over putting his head between my shoulder and neck. “I’m sorry” he whispered.
“It’s ok” I mumbled “The day isn’t over yet” I smiled slightly.
“You are right” his finger slipped down my arm the strap of my dress sliding down. His lips traced up my neck and I leaned back into him.
“Tell me if you want me to stop” he whispered, his fingers pulled the zip down on the back of my dress. His fingers brushing my skin, he pressed soft kisses down my back and I shivered.
He pushed the other strap down my arm, and my dress pooled down on the floor and I stood there in just my bra and panties.
