A Chance

The week passed slowly, I had called Rishi every night before bed and we talked about our days. I was driving back from the hotel I stayed at for the exhibition.

I stopped at the shop for a couple hours and made Rishi a cake. It was a two tier black and gold cake, I boxed it up and headed home for the day. I left the cake at mum’s house and grabbed some clothes and make up for the BBQ tomorrow.

I headed over to Rishi’s house and parked my car, I walked up to the door and he opened it instantly.

“I missed you so much” he lifted me up and spun me around.

“I missed you too but it’s only been a few days” I smiled and pecked his cheek.

“I know but it’s been a very stressful couple of days at work and I just missed you” he kissed me softly and I moaned.

“Stop we have so much to do for tomorrow, our moms are coming over in two hours to help make everything so we need to go shopping” he groaned.

“Can we just have a nap first please” he did his best puppy dog eyes.

“You nap I’ll go by myself” I grabbed my keys and he groaned.

“Fine I’m coming” he slipped on some shoes and grabbed some keys out of a cupboard.

“Were taking my other baby” we walked outside and he opened the garage. My jaw dropped. It was a blue and black BMWI8 convertible.

“You’re kidding?”

“Nope she stays hidden, unless the weather is nice. I also don’t like flaunting my wealth. I’m a lawyer but I brought stocks and shares so yeah I have a bit of money” I was too scared to touch it. It was so pretty.

“Get in babe” he winked slipping on his sunglasses. I got in the smooth leather seats felt lush. He revved the engine and I shivered. I slipped on my sunglasses and we headed out shopping.

He pulled up to the supermarket and people stared, “Your car is getting a lot of attention” I walked over to him and he kissed me. “Or maybe it’s you, you do look stunning in this outfit today” I was wearing some jeans and a Bardot top nothing special.

“Thank you babe but even I want to marry your car” I laughed. He took my hand and we walked inside I got loads of ingredients for the BBQ and for the evening meal.

“So I was thinking obvs the selection of food for the BBQ but some samosas etc. for the older ones. I’ll buy them uncooked and just cook them tomorrow before everyone comes. Then for the evening, your mom said make chicken, rice, aloo gobi because it’s your favorite and then a dahl and then all the extra crap” I spoke putting things into the trolley.

“Sounds perfect, you’re food is amazing so I’m sure everyone will love it. Also a few of my friends are coming too, and I got in contact with the shop and asked your friends to come too I hope that’s ok”

“Yeah that’s fine” I smiled at him he was so thoughtful.

We continued shopping and went to a few other places too, last stop was booze.

“So what do we get” he spoke.

“Keg cider, that will go down a treat. Most of my family drink whiskey, vodka and Malibu. Maybe get a couple bottles of wine too” he laughed putting it all in the trolley.

“I want to see you drunk” he laughed at me.

“You might one day” I winked at him.  We paid for the stuff and headed back to the car. There was a bunch of girls looking at it. Rishi clicked the button he put the shopping in the car.

“Rosie is that you?” I knew who’s voice that was instantly I groaned and turned around.

“Serena hi” she glanced at the car and back at me.

“This your car?” I opened my mouth to speak but Rishi came over. He slipped his hand into my back pocket depositing the car key there. I looked up at him and he winked.

“I’m Rishi her fiancé and you are” he spoke

“I’m Serena we went to school together” she spoke

“Come on babe, we have places to be” Rishi spoke.

He walked over to the passenger side and slipped in. I grabbed the key out my pocket and slipped into the seat.

I started the engine pulling out of the space.

“What a b***h I’m surprised, I bet she’s just using him” Serena spoke.

I revved the engine making her jump and drove away, Rishi laughed at me.

“Do you know how sexy you look driving my car. Tell you a secret. I’ve always wanted to have s*x in this car” he winked and I blushed driving carefully all the way home.

When we got back I parked the car carefully and jumped over the console to sit in Rishi’s lap. I kissed him hard my hands slipping into his hair. I pulled away out of breath.

“I’ll make that dream come true one day” I winked getting out.
