Nora's Pov:

It was the next morning. Unfortunately we couldn't find anything in the car and now the last hope was to find any CCTV cameras on the road of the incident.We drove to the location.Some junior officers were already there.

"Miss miller" one of them greeted me

I gave a nod of my head.

"Any clues?" I asked.

"Yes Miss Miller we did found a few CCTV cameras one was of a coffee shop and one was of a bank but unfortunately the footage has already been removed."

"Hmm I see we can always recover it alright you guys can head back now" I said.

They went their way and I made my way to the coffee shop.I would have recovered the footage on my own right now but I need permission from my boss first.I am going to the coffee shop for some questioning.

"Hello I am Officer Nora here for the cctv

footage" I said and showed my badge to the lady at the desk.

"No need for that Miss Miller I know who you are.I have seen you in the news many times." She said laughing.

"Ah okay So Miss?" I asked.

"You can just call me Liana Miss Miller" Liana said.

"Alright Liana I was here for USB for the footage recovery and do you guys have any idea how was the footage removed" I asked

"No unfortunately I am a small coffee shop owner Miss Miller.People come and go all the time.I can't possibly tell anything." she said and gave me the USB

"Okay tysm Liana for the help it was nice meeting you" I said and smiled

"It's an absolute pleasure Miss Miller" she said and I opened the door to the coffee shop and when I turned to close it.I saw it in the mirror on the door.Someone was observing me.I closed the door and went to the opposite side of the road and took some random turns.I stopped at a small jewelry shop and tried some jewelry on and when I looked in the mirror for the jewelry and sure thing the person was following me.He also had a camera.I walked some more and took a turn in a narrow alley.It was a dead end.The man came in and he turned to run when he saw me standing there.I grabbed him by the collar but I could see he had some tricks up his sleeve he got out of my grip pretty quickly.I threw a punch in his face and he stumble back but came back on me with the same force.I dodge it and gave him a strong leg hit in his stomach.He fell on his back.I grabbed his camera immediately while pointing my gun at him so he that he doesn't move.His camera was filled with pictures of me while doing the investigation.Someone is keeping an eye on me but why?I turned around to ask the man he was crying in pain.I sat down.

"Who sent you after me?" I asked by gripping his collar.A shot ran through the air and hit the man in my hands straight in his forehead.A gasp escaped through my mouth.I turned around to see but there was no one there damn it.Whoever they are,they are still keeping an eye on me .I need to head back.I got up and called an ambulance and some officer's.

After finishing off with the man, I went to my office with his camera.I was in my office checking all the images on his camera.There were just pictures of today nothing else.I threw the camera on my table and leaned in my chair when there was a knock on door.

"Come in" I said.My assistant Maria came in and informed me that the boss would like to see me.I nodded and went to his office.

I knocked on the door.After hearing a come in from the other side,I went in.

"Yes you asked for me?" I said.

"Yes Nora have a seat please"he said and I took a seat.

"Nora this case regarding the movie star, I am assigning you a partner" he said.

"Yes boss but you know I don't need one" I said.

"Yes Nora I know but considering the recent events the orders came from up.I can't do anything." he said.

"I see" I said "Alright then so who's my partner?" I asked.

"Well that would be me Officer Nora" a familiar voice said.

I turned around to look and sure there he was my childhood nemesis,Enzo Ajello, leaning against the door with a smirk on his face.He knocked and came in.I stood up.

He came and stood in front of me.We both grinned and then did our stupid handshake.

"When did you come back?" I asked.He nodded at the boss direction and he smiled.

"Just now" he said.

"I would have come to pick you up if you had told me" I said.

"No worries , I wouldn't mind you dropping me off at a hotel" he winked.

I rolled my eyes "Sure." I said.

"I knew it was a good idea to pair you two up

Two best officers of America and Italy.You guys make a great pair" My boss, Chief Jonathan said.

"Yes you guys should often pair us up" Enzo said with his stupid grin.

"Sure thing, you guys are free to go and I hope you guys can finish the investigation soon" Chief said.

"Of course Chief" Both of us said in union and grinned when we looked at each other.

As soon we were in my office Enzo pulled me into a hug.We were meeting after a whole 4 years because of our busy schedules but i am glad he's back.He pulled back and went to sit on my chair with his legs crossed on the table.

"So my dearest Zucca you can start telling me now how much you missed me" he said.

-Translation: Zucca means Pumpkin in Italian-

I scoffed and looked at him in disbelief.

"Not even a little, in fact after you were gone there was just peace and peace" I said sitting in the chair in front of the table.

"Yeah right lie all you want sweetheart but you and I both know " he said.

I rolled my eyes and gave him a good smack .

"Alright enough let's talk about the case for now I think we should try to recover the footage and find more info about the man who got shot and was keeping an eye on me " i said.

"Yes let's split I'll find out about the man you handle the CCTV footage recovery" he said.

"Alright then"I said.

He went to the office assigned to him by the chief and I started working on the recovery.I just hope it's not a dead end again.
