CHAPTER TWENTY I kicked a small rock that stood in my way and slumped on a rickety bench near the bushes which wasn't too far from the cabin. I wiped furiously at my tear-stained cheeks then took deep breaths, trying to calm myself down. I was seething inside, and it was all because of Jack. The view in front of me wasn't anything spectacular but it was definitely refreshing. There was a dirt path just a few feet away from the bench I was sitting on and through the gentle slope that descended down the mountain. I could see the walkway bridge from where I was sitting even though it was hard to notice because of the trees and bushes blocking the site.
