“So did you hear anything from RV?” Jay asked Samantha who sat on this big sofa eating an apple

“Nothing, and don’t you think he is visiting Mumbai a lot these days?” she asked making Jay squirm remembering something.

"The business there is expanding” he said but it sounded more like a question

“I know but you know last month when he came he looked so different and I guess something is wrong, you know” Samantha said thinking about something.

“Whenever he is around me I feel his energy a bit low these days” she added. That’s about her she can feel what people feel, like the emotions and if she wants to she can change this emotions. It was her power she was been passed form her mother's lineage, her mother's ancestors were blessed with this bone. And because of that she and her brother had powers being a werewolf. 

PS: One of the reasons her brother was the most feared Alpha. He was not just strong but special too.

“You are over thinking” Kabir interrupted her thoughts and looked at Jay he knew something was off and something was been hidden. Though not an Alpha now he was an Alpha's son. His pack was attacked when he was a kid, and he was the only survivor. Thanks to his mother who had ran to save him after the pack was almost destroyed and left him here before she died herself. And since then ‘Red Moon' was his pack. He was the Beta and he knew his best friend, his Gamma and Alpha, Jay and RV were hiding something and he knew he was not a part of this secret as he would end up sharing it with Samantha and the world will know the secret!

“Exactly” Jay said like it was matter of fact and Kabir have him 'stop over acting' look.

“I have some work you mates have your mushy- mushy time” Jay said leaving as Samantha threw a pillow on him

“I will get back on you when you get your mate you moron!” Jay heard Samantha as he walked out only to laugh. Mate! He rolled his eyes. Why does one needs mate when there are so many unmated, beautiful females around him? 

“I need mate!” his wolf Jace purred and made him roll his eyes

“Sure you stupid thing” he yelled shutting his wolf. He was walking to the parking when his phone went off.

“Did you get her?” he asked as soon as he picked up

“No, I am coming back today” he heard his Alpha’s cold voice.

“Sure thing I’ll be there to pick you up” he said but the line was already dead

“God he is gone bonkers!” Jay exclaimed

“Hey J” he heard a flirty voice behind him

“Hey Allie” he turned with a sly smile

“You going somewhere?” se asked walking close to him

“Yes I am but you know I have a seat vacant” he said

“Which belongs to our mate!” his wolf snapped

“Aww J” the girl purred and leaned to him

“Keep her away you human” his wolf snapped and may had shoved her away. Though he was a flirt but his wolf was a one woman man or animal, whatever! And because of him he had sometimes shoved girls away in between makeout. It was complicated and frustrating for both Jay and Jace to bear each other even though they were technically one

“Sorry Allie” Jay said cursing his wolf. His wolf was taking control so he just ran in direction of forest and shifted growling. Allie just saw him enter the woods and signed, she wanted some action, guess what, she wasn’t getting any so she walked inside the pack house to find someone else.

Her room was set, her clothes were set and so were her books. Looking around she felt satisfied by her work. Now what to do? She thought and her eyes fell on the trees from her window. Yes she could go for a walk in the woods, awesome! She got up, wore a sweater and locked her room, making way to the backside of her hostel.

‘Maybe I can find a clearing of something like they show in movies' she thought.

‘Yah right!’ a voice scoffed in her head

‘What don’t the hero take the girl on a date in between of the forest' she replied back to that voice entering the forest

‘Cool’ she exclaimed and made her way inside.

When she had walked pretty much deep in the forest, she started to freak out. 

‘It was a wrong decision at first place to get in here. Huh, romantic movies haven’t you watch horror movies where in forest like these have ghost or discovery channel where they show that forest like these have wild animals, on date you wanna go' she scoffed internally and as a clue something behind her snapped.

There was a moment in the bushes and she waited for something to launch at her. A monkey, or worse a snake. There won’t be tigers or lions here right? It’s not a big forest. And here thoughts came to an end when a pungent smell hit her. She covered her nose but be something launched at her letting her fall on the ground screaming her lungs out and closing her eyes.

She opened her eyes to see a big wolf pinning her down, his paw on her chest, he had a big face and greyish eyes which were looking at her with hunger. Oh God, she was going to die! What about her dreams? Her new school? Her new book collection? Her bucket list? Today’s feels she should had missed a guy, atleast! The wolf was about to attack her and she closed her eyes, but feel nothing! Infact, the weight of the wolf on her was no more there, she heard growling and grunting and open her eyes to see no one above her but the trees and the sky. Still lying on the ground the turned her head to her left where the noise was coming from.

There was a big, big wolf fighting the one who tried to kill her. This one was brown with a tinge of orange, bigger than the earlier one, he was more powerful as he was continuously attacking the other. Arohi ran and picked up a wooden stick, she turned to the wolves to only she the brown wolf had already killed the other wolf and was walking near her.

“L…Lo…Look stop, ok?” she said holding the stick in attacking way and that’s when she noticed that how beautiful the wolf looked, it had brown eyes which looked at her amazed. She looks back at the dead wolf and then looked at the brown wolf.

“Please don’t kill me” she pleaded making a puppy face making the wolf make noise as if he was laughing

“Listen I am grateful that y..you saved my life” she said locking in his eyes and thought he could understand

“But atleast let me live this wonderful life you saved, please don’t kill me, I am just a day old in this city and I am going to die” she said and the wolf leaned to her making her grip increase on the wooden stick and close her eyes. She felt his nose touch her cheek and the just her. She opened her eyes and looked at the wolf who stood a feet away from her but didn’t attack her.

“You won’t harm me?” she asked as the wolf nodded No, making her sign in relief but then she again looked at him

“You promise?” she asked unsure and the wolf nooded a Yes, and somewhere trusting him she threw the wooden stick away and looked at him.

“I know if anyone sees me here and hear what I am going to say they will think I am mad” she muttered

“You look amazing, like beautiful, like mesmerizing you know” she said

“I have never seen wolves but you are like big and beautiful” she said again and the making the wolf make the laughing noise again. And she was starring at it and suddenly asked

“Can I touch you?” the wolf looked at her and after few seconds leaned to her and she touched him, and roamed her hand in it’s fur. 

“You are soft, soft” she said like a child and he purred making her giggle.

After few minutes the wolf took a step back and turned to the way she had entered the forest. It gestured and she knew it was leading her out. She walked besides it, he had an aura, a strong aura.

“Hey can we be friends?” she asked him all of a sudden

“You know I don’t had friends here, like I am here for some time, it’s like a new place you know, I miss my place, not like I have a family back in Mumbai but….” She trailed

“I am speaking as if you will understand, but I think you do” she said and looked it’s way.

“I will be the first crazy woman who will be friend with a wolf” she giggled but it stopped when she felt it lick her cheek and she stood stiff. She saw it nod head as if saying yes for the friendship. 

“For a second I felt you will eat me” she said terrified. They reached at the boundary of the forest and the wolf stopped. It gestured his head to her as if asking her to go.

“Bye” she said and walked out, walking at a distance she turned to see it hidden in the forest’s darkness but then his eyes were glowing. She smiled and turned to enter her hostel.

“Well that could have been the last day of my life” she muttered opening the door of the room.

“How did a rouge enter our land?” Kabir asked the warriors who were on duty as Jay was checking the rouge's body, he was just wearing his pants as he had shifted from his wolf form. 

“Sorry Beta Kabir but we don’t know how it sneaked in” the warrior said

“Your sorry isn’t going to work, you know it could have killed a human” Jay said walking to them

“Alpha will deal with you” Kabir said dismissing them

“Dude you fine?” Kabir asked putting his hands around Jay

“I am fine dude, but that crazy girl could have died, don’t know what she was doing in the forest” Jay said

“Dude stay away, you know you can't indulge with humans sexually unless she is your mate” Kabir warned him

“I know Buddy” Jay said

“But don’t know felt to protect her” he added

“And now she is my friend” he said at a grin, a stupid grin, the fact that she was his friend was making him feel proud and in years his wolf was agreeing with him on this. He felt happy as if he protected really important.

“Dude is she your mate?” Kabir asked

“No stupid, but she is special” Jay said smiling.
