It was Essence, Brianna, Sierra, Kiki and I all at lunch time just talking about prom since it's later on today.

"Jhene, you excited for prom today ?" Essence asked me. Marcus asked me out even though he doesn't come here.

"Girl yes. Marcus 'bout to come here and it's finna be lit." I said like a ratchet girl and we started laughing.

"Who you going with ?" I asked.

"Oh, this boy I met in school a while back his name is Rhamil. And girl let me tell you."

"No, I don't want to waste my time to hear your boring story." we started laughing. I looked up to see Brandon with his friends, including August and Nicki.

I stop f*****g with Nicki when I found out that she played me behind my back and took August. With her hoe ass.

"Yea and Nicki and August going out. I heard August forced her into stripping." Kiki said and I looked at her.

"So, what that got to do with me ?" and we started laughing. Brandon and his squad looked at us.

"And Brandon ain't got nobody because he think all the girls are hoes." Sierra said. I smiled and went to throw my food away and Brandon just happened to come there same time as me.

"Yes, Brandon?" I asked. By now, we were face to face. Well more like chest to face so I just looked up.

"I heard you going to prom with Marcus." I smiled and looked down.

"Yes that's true. And I heard you didn't have a prom date, Brandon." he chuckled and I just stared at him.

"Yea. I'll find one though."

"Cool."

"Jhene, come down here, I wanna take some pictures of you." my mom yelled from downstairs.

"Coming." I got to the head of the steps and dad came and helped me down since I couldn't where I was going.

"Look at you, looking like you looking." Kyle said, snapping pictures of me. "This going on instagram."

"Smile, Jhene." I gave my biggest and best smile. It was just flashes everywhere, almost blinding me. I heard a horn honk 3 three times.

"Bye you guys. That's my ride and I have to go." I speedwalked since I had on heels and opened the door and they started cheering.

"Yas. Look at my baby growing up and stuff." Essence said, cooing over me like I was a baby.

"You remind me of my mom and I don't like it."

"Whatever. But it's time to get tispy." and everybody cheered but me.

"Here you go." Kik came over to me with a drink in her hand, passing it to me.

"No, I don't drink."

"Alright. Suit yourself." she took it to the head. They took shots after shots.

"Don't you thinks y'all should slow down." I asked them.

"No. Just try one and that's it." I looked at it and back at her and then grabbed it and chugged it down.

"Yaay." we arrived to the school and the music made my whole vibrate. It was full of everybody grinding and errthin' 'Dance' by Speaker Knockers came on and I started feeling myself.

This is my type of my party. I just grabbed Brianna by the hand and started twerking on her.

Everybody crowded and started cheering and hooting. She placed her hands on my hips and was moving with me.

The song was over and everybody just cheered. I gave Bri a long hug and a flash went off.

We turned and seen a fine photographer taking a picture of us. We started posing like men and stopped.

"Can we see how we looked ?" he brought the pictures back and I started giggling. Tonight going to be a good night.

Slow music came on and everybody partnered up and danced slowy. I had nobody so I just sat down on the bleachers.

"Hey. Wanna dance ?" I heard a familiar voice whisper in her ear. I smiled and turned around.

"Brandon? What are you doing here, where's Marcus ?"

"He's not here and asked me to take his spot." I stopped to look at him. He had on a all white tux, just shining and brighting up the room.

I lightly blushed and took his hand into mine and we were chest-to-chest and slowly dancing to the music. I placed my ear to his chest and heard his heart thumping in a slow rhythm.

I leaned back and we made eye contact. He leaned foward and so did I. Our lips made contact and it felt like fireworks and sparks. I pulled away and stared him in the eyes.

"Thank you, Brandon." I said.

"Your welcome." we just danced the night away.
