I swallowed hard as my eyes slowly opened, staring at Fenris’s peaceful face again. He’s a wolf shifter. A wolf shifter god, no less. And he’s very certain you’re exactly what he’s looking for. Panic threatened to overtake my vague sense of anxiety, and I slipped out of bed, trying not to disturb the mattress as I made a beeline for the massive ensuite. Unfortunately, splashing a little cool water on my face did nothing for my rising sense of nerves. Instead, I grabbed the nearest set of clothing.
