33 I finish my smoothie and place the glass on the coffee table. Dad still has about half of his left. God knows how he manages to drink it so slow; mine’s gone as soon as it touches my lips. Mum pauses the TV and turns to face me on the couch. “Hey, I was watching that, Sue,” Dad says, trying to snatch the remote off her. “Look, Chris,” she replies, moving it out of his reach, “we watch far too much TV as it is in this house.
