Chapter 10: True Colors

Jamie POV

After were done with our dinner we decided to go to the seashore to be refresh and to unwind at the same time. Diane gotten tipsy with the wine that we drink for dinner and she became more active than a while ago. Maybe she is taking advantage of being a single. She is laughing but I know deep down she haven’t overcome the break up, literally its just been 5 hours ago so my friend is finding a way to forget what happened. And I’m so sad because I can see she is trying to hide her pain. Why John did this to her? I was thinking because right now I can’t say against to John, I haven’t heard his side yet… I want to help them settle their issue but even me didn’t know where to start. Only them can fix their issues…

I Don’t want Diane to suffer, as I see her struggling to her pain I’m also breaking inside. I tried to accompany him her as much as possible. We didn’t finish the wine a while ago but she urge Franz and Nate to just buy the whole bottle and she take it with us, she is drinking while we are walking near the seashore to take a swim… I didn’t agree at first but Franz talk to me and said… “Let her get drunk, Love. It’s her way to be numb with her sorrow..”

“But she is alone in her room later, just worried she might do harm to herself. “ I said to him, I can’t hide my worries.

“Trust her love! You should know her as much as I do she is your friend. She is not alone I swear. She is strong enough to do the break up so just give her the moment to grief for her heartache. And besides Nate is there, he will take care good care of her, right Nate?”

“Yeah! Of course!” Nate said.

I looked at him and found that even he, also worried for her.

“ Don’t worry I’m not going to leave her side.” He gave me assurance, I smile and said…

“Thanks Nate! I owe you big on this…”

“ Don’t mention it.. Even if you don’t say it I will still take good care of her.” As he say that I felt relive by his honesty…

BACK HOME (Beacon)

“ Why did you do that to her! Are you out of your mind?”

Damien scold John for what happen. Because of him his plan of making Jamie and Franz separate had been cancelled. But he will do it as long as he got a chance! He said to himself. Jamie is mine only! She is mine from the very beginning! I was so stupid to not have her when I have a chance. I didn’t expect that my rival will come so soon! He said as if he is so obsessed.

And its so true Damien has a mental illness called OCD ( Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder) in which sometimes he performs his thought repeatedly like hand washing or sometimes locking his door at home or either at his office. And he hide it to everyone and only his family knows it, even to his friend John. When his at his office his employees assume that it was usual foe him to do that. They didn’t know it is about his illness.

And because of being decline to every situations like his being the suitor of Jamie he develop the anxiety disorder which triggered him to be harmful with people who hurt him, and right now his target was Franz. Because of his unexpected show is all his plan has been sabotage. “ if I can’t have you Jamie I kill both of you!” his eyes really have the intent to kill.

But after he is back to reality, John explain everything..

”Because she never give me a chance to be with myself, she is always in controlled to everything. Mia gave the thing that she can’t give..”

“ Your so stupid, man! Can’t you see the difference between casual girl and a pure one?”

“ You can say that because you are not in my situation!” I said to him

“ What do you mean? “Damien ask

“ Diane, never gave herself to me …” He confessed “ We’ve been together since grade school but I never had her virginity! We’ve been living together in the house but we have separate rooms because she want to get married first before s*x. You should know that I’m a man also and we have our desires also. I also have needs as a man and Mia provided what I need. Yeah I’m stupid man! But Mia is pregnant I just cant leave her…”

“Do you know what your talking about!” He was about to burst out and if that happen he might hurt anyone..

“ You can’t just leave her just like that!

“ Its her decisions after all.”

If that happens I don’t have any reasons to see Jamie again… He was kinda panic now, and John was nervous as he see his friend acting like crazy at this time…

“ No! I’m not going to go back to her anymore Damien!" I realized I didn’t love her enough, because if it is then I will never agreed to his conditions.. I love Mia, man! I’m not going to leave her just like that, he turn around to leave.

But Damien was really angry that he throws everything that he can hold, he keeps doing that until he went to his drawer to get his medicine, actually he just about to take his medicine if he can’t control his anger, but he never take the regularly…

(Resort)

As we are done with our swimming, I felt so nervous that I shivered all over my body, I cant explain. Suddenly I became scared as if there something going to happen but I don’t know where or when. Franz, Nate, and Diane enjoying the fresh air of the seaside, they were chatting and sometimes laughing at the same time. But me I became so silent and Franz noticed it, he came near me and ask me “What hapoen, Love?”

“ I don’t know… Its just that I was so nervous, like something bad will happen… I just cant figure out…"

“ Don’t think to much, Love.. we are at my resort and nothing will happen to you, I assure that!”

He said and he put his hand on my back.

“Lets go back to our suite , I’m tired and I know your tired too…” he said…

“ How nice of you are so thoughtful,” I teased him...

“ Don’t be too polite on me Love… I’m being bad when your around!” he said

I pinch his side to tell that I’m not in the mood for funny jokes..

“ Okay! Lets go…"
