Chapter 30 Visions

Persephone's POV

After a very invigorating night as promised by my mate, trying to get this process of making a baby really going and I don't object to this love making one bit. I never expected to be so addicted to his touch, but here I am craving for it when I don't have it. I'm now trying to take my mind off of our mind-blowing s*x, even if it's just for a moment to take care of things.. getting ready for the Luna ceremony with the help of Roxie and Leeann, who supposedly both volunteered to help me out with this, since there are certain traditions that wolves stick to during these ceremonies and they don't want me to get this wrong, messing this up.. Or at least that's what I'm assuming.

"So I have put your hair into a traditional waterfall braid that signifies our connection with nature. It means to keep your hair out of your face during the ceremony and before the run through the forestry.. or I guess in your case flying through the forestry." Roxie explains to me as I nod. "So why do we run around?" I ask her before Leeann scoffs acting annoyed, but I honestly think she likes being the family know-it-all.

"You run round the property with Jayce, signifying what you two are coming together to protect as long as you can. It's you dedicating yourself to the pack and property." She explains to me as I state, "It's kind of like a wedding, but instead of me just being dedicated to just my mate, it's me being dedicated to everyone in the pack as well.. am I correct?" I ask Leeann as she stares at me for a moment before nodding. "Exactly." I nod at them as I ask. "So why am I wearing a black dress then? A lot of cultures deem this to be signifying death and they do white for weddings, to signify the purity and love you're portraying with this bond." I explain to them as they both scoff. "Well in our culture, we worship the Moon Goddess, since you probably didn't know that already. So all of the ceremony is dedicated to her. So we wear black because the moon only comes out at night to represent the dark night, hence why the ceremony takes place right as the sun goes down. It's to try to make sure we appease her to get her approval and light to guide us through this life, living a long and happy life." Leean states for everyone to hear her school like lecture.

"Well, different cultures believe in different things, but I have met multiple gods and goddesses, so I know about your moon goddess, we have already had a conversation." I explained to them, watching their eyes scrunch up, not believing me, but it's ok not everyone will believe me and what I have to say. "She came to me in a vision. She told me that I would mean more than I ever expected to a special someone. I will save more lives then I ever expected, which has already been a lot in the 80 years I have been on this earth.. but most importantly. She told me to always keep my head up because I'm going to find my future where I never expected it, but that I need to believe in my heart and what it tells me about the people around me. I didn't know what to think at first because I was all alone and had no idea what she was talking about.. but now that I think about it.. It was a week to the day that I met your brother. Maybe that's what she was referring to." I say to them as they both look at me in shock. "You're 80 years old!" Roxie asks in complete and utter shock, as Leeann states, "How do you know it was the moon goddess?"

I smiled at both of them as I turned to Roxie to answer her first. "Faes live different lives then wolves.. we have a longer lifespans.. we are like vampires in that aspect.. I'm 82, but in wolf years, I think that I would be right at about 26 years old, I can't exactly remember how it works, but right around that age.. and I knew it was the moon goddess because she looked like every description of her that I have ever read. She had the long black hair with the glowing purple eyes and bared the tattoos of the moon goddess." They stare at me for another moment before Leeann asks, "So does that mean that if you live a long and healthy life that you're going to out live everyone in the pack?" I nervously nod before quickly responding. "But I don't know any faes that live past 100 so I'm assuming that will be the same for me. We are tortured, captured and used until our last breath, so I'm assuming it will be my fate since that was the fate of everyone I have ever known to call a fae, Dark and light all the same." I say to them as they both gain sad looks on their faces, knowing I'm right or probably right. I hear her clearing her throat before Roxie says. "I think you're good to go."

"Not just yet." We hear from the doorway to see it's Isabella holding a bouquet of flowers. "I brought these to put into your hair to decorate it with the flowers that represent the wolf, the beautiful indigo wolfbaine that is just as harmful as it is beautiful and the blood red rose showing we all bleed the same, no matter what species we are, we are all the same in the end.. and lastly the symbol of the moongoddess," she says holding up a chain bearing the mark of the goddess on it. She reaches out in front of me as she wraps the necklace around my neck, then securing it. Once it's secured, I feel a wave of comfort pass through my body from that necklace, I think. "This is beautiful Bella, I'll make sure to take good care of it before I can safely get it back to you." I say to her as she waves off my comment. "No I want you to have that, it has been passed down from Luna to Luna for our pack. I pass this to you as Fredrick's mother did it for me and the Luna before her.. It's something that has been around for generations and I hope it stays that way. I don't know if it's true, but I always felt safe wearing this necklace, as if it was protecting me. I hope it gives you that peace of mind as well."

"I honestly felt a wave of security and comfort pass through me once you secured it.. amazing" I said to her as I hold the symbol in my hand. looking at all he little details of it. "I can feel light magic attached to this peice.. thank you Bella this means more to me then you will ever know." I say to her as she smiles big then states. "The sun is getting ready to go down, so we better get out there before the boys come up here to get us." I smile at her explaination. "Thank you so much for helping me try to look the part even though I don't have all the information yet.. But at least I have Leeann to keep me updated on that." I state playfully as Isabella and Roxie smile liking that, while we look at Leeann who is rolling her eyes at me. Leeann won't admit that she likes me but I know she does.. One of these days she will hopefully admit it.

They led me out of the room and down the hallway.. The closer I get to the back doors, the harder my heart beats as if it will beat out of my chest at any moment. Not out of nervousness about making this commitment to my mate, but to actually try to take this role of something I have never been before or even know how to do.. I just hope with all my heart I can do this, because I really don't know if I can. I take a deep breath trying to calm my heart as I feel as if it's stopping, like time is slowing if not frozen. I looked around and it is. I curiously spin all around and everyone around me is slowly moving as if they are not frozen but extremely slowed down in time. I'm so confused as I continue to look around trying to figure out what's happening.

I see a bright light illuminate as the Moon Goddess appears once more to me. "Mid moment? I never knew you could appear like this Seline. It's astonishing." I said to her as she smirked my way before slinking over to me. "I just wanted to make sure to give you some confidence. I hear your worries and thoughts that run rampant through your mind hand in hand with your insecurities of not being good enough for this pack.. But you have to know I have paired you with Jayce, because you need him as much as he and this pack need you.. You're all meant for so much more. This is what you all need to live your best life and believe me, we have talked about what we should give you in return for all the good you have done on this earth.. and we all decided.. completion.. it's needed to feeling complete in your life and with others.. The complete feeling of a family and having babies gives you.. you deserve that type of happiness, because you have given happiness to so many others.. you need to just believe in yourself as much as we believe in you and everything will work out.. But your hesitation could cause many problems if you let it.. believe in yourself child." She says as she reaches out and touches my moon goddess necklace before the flash of light blares in the room, looking like an explosion as time goes right back to it's place as we continue walking like nothing happened. I stop in my tracks checking my hands and everything around me, not believing I'm awake at that moment.

"Percy? Are you ok?" Roxie asks me wondering about the look on my face. "I saw her.. she came to me.. she almost stopped time but it wasn't stopped.. it was still moving, just very slowly." I say to them as they look between each other. "What did she say to you?" Isabella asks me as I quietly reply, "She told me to stop worrying and believe in myself because this is my happiness I have earned by all the good I have done in my life." I say breathlessly to them as they look at me in shock.

"That's amazing.. you should believe in yourself." Isabella stated to me as I smiled and nodded, feeling better about this next step for me in life.. doing something I have never done before which is always the highlights of my life anyways. I watch Drew open the door for me as Theo smiles my way and gestures for me to exit the house and outside through that door. I nodded at him before turning and hugging the ladies for everything they have done to make me feel better. They have already helped me out more than I ever expected, but I'm so grateful for it that I can't even contain my appreciation.
