Chapter 10 Mate Talk

Jayce's POV

My mate and I share a deep stare that seems so unreal with it being the most comfortable silence. She can just be around me not saying a word and I still somehow have the best time.. I do love talking with her and I would love to do even more than just talk with her, but none of that is needed to have a great time with her. I love the automatic connection we share.. It's something you can't just make up being so natural with each other. I hear her clear her throat gaining my full attention, from thinking of her to her.

"Do you think you can ever truely accept me for the being that I am, as much as I can with you?" She asks me softly as I just chuckle at that question. "Oh my love we have already accepted you and I have even had to talk Milo down from marking you until you accept us and truely want this.. Because I will never force you to be with us but once your marked by us, you're ours forever.. No one else for us.. Just you.. But you have to want that as much as we do.." I try to explain to her as she looks at me curiously.

"Who is Milo? Well, I have heard wolves talk about wanting to mark but I honestly have no idea what it is." she states as I try to explain. "Milo is my wolf counterpart and marking.. well.. It's a way I get to mark you forever as my Luna.. with not only a visual aid but our scents will be intertwined so other males will know you're spoken for.. But we will forever be connected, more than we are already. Our connection will be stronger than ever but really ignited by a mark I will make right about your collarbone.. here." I explain as I take my hand from around her and gently caress over the area I have thought about marking time and time again.

This touch ignites goosebumps as she shivers under my gentle touch, biting her lip. "Mmmm she already likes that.. let me mark her please." Milo begs as I groan at him. "She had not agreed but I'm trying to persuade her.. now stop pushing you mutt." I demand making him growl.. but that growl happens loud enough that Persephone can hear it, getting her involved in our almost silent conversation.

"Did I do something wrong?" She asks with worry as I shake my head. "No Percy not at all.. That's the problem, like I said I have to keep talking Milo down from marking you.. He wants you as bad as I do, but I will never force you.. That's why I haven't brought him out as much because he doesn't have as much strength as I do to hold myself back from my natural instincts when it comes to you.. But I swear you're safe with us.. He just adores you already and begs to claim you as his own." I try to explain as best as I can so she isnt scared, taking in more of her scent to try to calm my now rapidly beating heart.

"Oh well that's very nice to know that your both feeling as much as I am in this.. But what are you worried about? I can tell you're worried about something." She asks me curiously, as her eyes bounce all around my face trying to read my features to hopefully figure out what's going on with me.

"Um.. we are both just worried you won't want us and will reject us.. You have that right you know? Either one of us could reject each other and the bond would be disconnected.." I say softly because I was hoping she would never ask so I wouldn't have to tell her.. I didn't want to give her the idea of rejecting us, but I do want to be fair to her too in long run, because she needs to know what she is getting into. So I guess in this case, honesty is the best policy.. because it is forever for us if she accepts all of this.

"Thank you for being so honest with me because I'm sure that wasn't easy for you.. You could have just kept it to yourself and I would've been none the wiser.... Wait, you're worried I would reject you?" She asks with complete shock in her voice as I nervously nod at her. She stares at me for a moment before she replies without hesitation. "How could I ever reject you? I was worried you wouldn't really want me once you got to know me." She explains this causing me to shake my head.. How could she ever think that.

"That's impossible, there's a reason you were paired with me.. You're perfect for me.. I will admit when I first saw you and found out you were a fae.. I thought about rejecting you just because of the main fact that I thought you wouldn't want a pack and wouldn't know how or want to take care of them.. but after getting to really know you, I have fallen harder and harder for you.. Wanting more with you and no one else.. But I know who you are and what you love to do.. You have had the life of doing what you want and when you want.. While not worrying about anyone but yourself.. But to come with me.. You would not only have me, but you would have my pack to worry about and you couldn't leave all the time.. I'm just scared and I will never force you to be with me ever.. I don't want you to worry about that.. We just both want you that bad.. But no pressure on making your decision. I don't want there to be pressure.. I just want you to want us as much as we want you, because that for us means forever." I explain to the best of my abilities, why this is so important for us.

She doesn't know that we have been raised by two things our entire life.. First, the information and training on how to be an Alpha and second.. Informing us about how important mates are and how special they truely are to not just us, but our future.. So they are to be cherished as such.. You can't have one without the other.

I have been looking forward to this moment for a very long time. I have been searching for my mate for years but had to dedicate my life to the pack once my father got hurt, so I didn't get to search for as long as I had hoped.

"Who could ever turn you down? You're both absolutely amazing that I have seen.... Oh and about my life? I have craved for more purpose and a family of my own for so long.. Just wanting a place to call home and someone to accept me for me, not living my life on the run.. and you would be giving me everything I have ever dreamt of.. I don't know how I could honestly turn that down. I would be crazy if this is not what I accept after always wanting this.. Of course I would gladly dedicate my life to you.. As long as you promise to still let me go out and help, because that is what I like to do and to also just be faithful to me.. Loyalty means everything to me." She demands from me so I nod and state as if it should just be obvious. "I will be with you and only you until my last, because you're all I need to be happy.. But you do need to realize though, that you will be my pack's Luna.. Which is the person who has to be there for them when they need so you can't leave all the time, but we can figure out times to go out together where I know your protected.. deal?" I ask her nervously as she vigorously nods her head, with her wings really starting to flutter.. This action is picking her feet up off of the ground, but bringing her to my eye level as she kisses me softly.

"I hope that makes Milo feel better.." She says to me as I nervously laugh staring into her eyes while I sheepishly rub the back of my neck.

"I.. honestly don't think he will feel better until I let him mark then mate with you honestly.. He has been literally begging for me to just let him have you and I have to keep talking him down, because I wanted to make sure you wanted this.. But I bet he does feel better.. I just know him and know he will be bugging me more to mark you now that he knows you want this too.." I try to explain as she giggles her adorable little laugh, that automatically makes me smile everytime I hear it's melody.

"Well at least I know it will be memorable for all of us when you get to mark me.. So when do wolves normally mark? When I become a part of the pack?" She asks me with curiosity apparent across her face.

My heart starts to race as I swallow nervously at just the thought of having to talk about this normally. "Well.. actually.. Most do it when they.. mate.. It's supposedly adds a very erotic feeling to the consummation of love, connecting them as one.. I have of course never felt that, so I'm not sure since I have yet to confirm this.. but that's what I have heard." I try to be nonchalant about this subject matter making her smile even bigger.

"Mmmm makes sense why it felt so good, turning me on, when you touched right there." She states in a sexy tone getting Milo to just purr causing her to smirk even bigger. "Mmm I'm guessing that sexy purring, means Milo liked that?" She asks tilting her head playfully as her hand trails over the hair on my chest gently.

I just nod vigorously swallowing the nervous lump in my throat, trying to hold Milo back, but he is really trying to get the best of me for taking over my body like I do his.

She inches closer as her hand drifts from my chest over my neck and slowly over my collar bone. "So is it sensitive for you too? Do you like that?" She asks flirtatiously as I lose control over my body feeling Milo push out.

"We like everything you do my sexy little fae mate... To answer your question.. it feel just as good as touching yours.." Milo speaks up to her causing her to smirk bigger.. That is until he takes her breath away pinning her against the tree.. He has his canines out leaning in.. just to graze the tip of his canines lightly across the top of the spot he would mark if he could.

"Milo! You better not mark her without her concent that's not right, do you understand me?!" I yell at him through our mindlink trying to make sure he doesn't pressure her into anything no matter how much I can smell her arousal.

"Oooh Milo nice to formally meet you. You're very beautiful.. When I first saw you I was caught in a trance by how handsome you looked." she states into my ear causing me to just purr at her affections again.

"I have to admit my love, that was the same for me.. You're stunning beyond belief, I don't know how we ever got so lucky to receive an amazing mate like you." He states to her lightly kissing that same spot he was grazing his canines over, causing a light moan to occur from her as he purrs again loving that sound.

"Please Milo switch me.. you cannot mark her yet. If you mark her without her concent it will be a very long time before I let you see her again." I threaten him as he scoffs at me before replying, "Don't be such a worry wart I just wanted to have a second with her.. I'm not marking her, no matter how much I know we all would love it.. I'll wait.. she is worth the wait."

He looks down at Persephone as he states, "Jay is freaking out so until we meet up again my love." He leans in kissing her neck then her cheek and her lips.. then he luckily let's me take over again.

"I'm so sorry Persephone.. You're not hurt are you? I was just trying to keep him calm but he just had to have a second with you." I try to quickly explain as she waves off my explaination.

"Don't worry about me, I liked him.. he was so sweet and sexy just like you but different.. I didn't mind one bit. I know you're worried about me with him.. but he is my mate too, so that's not fair to keep him away.. but I understand why you want to right now.. just because it's so new." She explains to me as I let out a sigh of relief nodding as I hear Milo snickering in victory at our mate defending him now.

"I know.. I just don't want him to change your mind about us." I say sadly trying to explain my side hearing Milo scoff.

"That would do no such thing.. it's actually confirmed my decision about wanting to be with you both. Now let's find those gandharvas before I get distracted again by my sexy mates." She states making me smile and nod.
